Giles listened as Buffy began to explain things. He was, indeed, aware of the book in question, as well as the deaths of the watcher. She also explained more about Eliot.
"Yes, the loss of the watcher was difficult...It's a good thing that you're looking into it, and I intend to help as much as possible if there's anything I can do. We can ill afford losses when there are so few of us already." he said.
"And yes," he directed his attention to both of them "I'm aware of the book, although I'll have to do some of my own research and get as familiar with things as possible. I haven't had quite as much time as I'd have preferred with my other duties. Perhaps I can do some of my own research as well...I've heard the firm has quite a large collection in its library...more even than the Council."
