She was rather shocked that it was Giles when he entered the door. Buffy knew that he was going to possibly come into town, but she didn't think it would be this soon. A piece of her felt greatly relieved. She stood up behind her office desk and smiled at him, her feet carrying her to him. She pulled him into a hug.
"Thank you."
She took his comment as a compliment. She really needed him, as much as she was trying to do all of this on her own and watcher-less she knew she really needed him to guide her, even if it was just a little. Sure, she may have surpassed him for the most part, but there was just some things only a father figure could resolve.
She moved back to her seat and sat down. He wanted to go straight to business? That was so like him.
"How about we start with a how have you been?"
Her eyebrow quirked. She had worked for the council and had helped reinstate it, but a lot of it had been done from afar, especially while she was dating the Immortal.
