Ginny was going absolutely stir crazy. She hated sitting still, and while she loved the idea of no obligations, in practice it was boring as hell. The first few days were fine. She had enjoyed the rest, and waiting naked for her new husband to get home would never get old. But once the flat was spotless, she had nothing to do.
So every morning she went for a run and then went do spend time at her mother's house. She helped around the house before going out for a long fly each day. It was relaxing, but she needed more excitement in her life. It didn't help that Ronnie was taking forever to come home. Ginny needed her best friend back, and only partly because she wanted to know what had happened to drive her away.
While she knew what day her friend was coming back, she hadn't known exactly when, so Ginny confined herself to the flat for the day. It was horribly boring, but she didn't want to miss when Ronnie came by. She was at the door immediately when she heard the knock, and yanked Ronnie into a hug, ignoring the book between them. "You're back!" she said, pulling Ronnie into the flat.
