Chapter 4: Need
Elijah stood before him. All pale skin and blue eyes. Breathless and beautiful. Dom was mesmerized, not wanting to take his eyes from the beauty before him. Trembling, pale fingers wrapped around his arm, pulling him closer. This was Elijah’s first time and Dom was determined to be as gentle as he possibly could be. The need to touch Elijah was overwhelming, forcing him onward.
“Dom…” Elijah’s hands wrapped around his arms, stepping up close so his denim clad erection was pressed tightly against Dom’s thigh. “I…need you…please”
Dom pressed up against Elijah’s hardened body as he took the young man into his arms, gently pressing his lips to Elijah’s neck. Elijah’s body jerked and a groan escaped the young mans lips as he moved his hips and rubbed the throbbing shaft against his boyfriend, desperately needing the friction. Dom’s hands slid down Elijah’s body until he had hold of the zipper and freed Elijah’s straining erection, his eyes widened in shock. Elijah was ready for him. Rock hard and trembling.
“Big boy,” Dom whispered, his voice low and full of the passion and need that was somehow taking him over. At that moment, he wanted Elijah more than he had ever wanted anything in his whole life. He’d give anything just to make the younger man his forever. With a nervous swallow, he grasped Elijah’s hand and led him to the waiting couch, where the young man sank down and opened his legs wide, granting Dom access.
“Oh god, Dom…take me…mmmm….” Elijah moaned.
Dom sank down to his knees, between Elijah’s legs. He grasped Elijah’s member, smearing the pre-cum over the head. Elijah’s hips arched off the couch and a long moan escaped his lips. Dom just smiled before engulfing the engorged member into his mouth.
“OOOH Shit! Dom!” Elijah groaned, resisting the urge to thrust.
Dom stilled Elijah’s hips and continued. As he licked and sucked along the throbbing shaft, Elijah’s moans of pleasure was the only sound he was aware of. There was nothing sweeter than Elijah’s lust-filled moans.
“Dom…I’m..I’m gonna…Ahhhh!” Elijah cried out as warm liquid squirted into Dom’s mouth. Breathless he collapsed back against the couch, struggling to come down from the euphoric high Dom’s mouth had sent him to. “Dom…”
Smiling, Dom allowed Elijah to pull him up as he scooted back against the couch and held Dom against his body, holding him and savoring the closeness. God, he was still turned on, but to be held like this, it was a heaven that he didn’t want to leave. “Was it good for you, Lij?”
A far off knocking was his only answer as Elijah kissed his nose. “Dom…”
“Dom…”
“Dom!”
Dom came awake with a start, disoriented by his surroundings. He frowned finding himself on the couch and Elijah in the bed, staring at him, a soft knocking on the door startling them both. Dominic frowned. He and Elijah. They had been together and happy and…his face fell, realizing that it had all just been a dream. A distant memory of their past…before everything had fallen apart…before Elijah had chosen something other than him…
Elijah stared at him with wide, scared blue eyes, his mouth partly opened as he held tightly to the sheet covering his small frame. “S-someone’s there…I don’t know…I don’t know who it can be…”
Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, pushing the dream back into the recesses of his mind, Dom got up and made his way for the door, cursing whoever had the nerve to wake him up from his perfectly happy dream and bring the real world crashing back down on him.
“Hi Dom!” Emilie greeted, as he opened the door.
He frowned. How dare she look so bright eyed and bushy tailed this early in the morning? Didn’t she know that some people liked to sleep late…not to mention she had scared Elijah with her insistent noise. He shuddered, remembering the fear in those eyes, that frown that marred those lips that had once smiled so easily. He wondered if he would ever see that smile again.
“Emilie…it’s early in the morning and you just woke both me and Elijah up, so this better be good.”
Emilie blushed and looked down at her hands in embarrassment. She hadn’t meant to disturb Elijah, but there was no more time to delay. They were due back in Hawaii today and their flight was to leave in a few short hours. “Our plane leaves at eleven. I didn’t know if you’d remember, plus…what are you going to do about Elijah?”
Damn it to hell! He forgot all about the early flight back! He hadn’t eaten, and then there was Elijah. What was he going to do with or for him with the little time he had left on the main land? There wasn’t much he could do in such a short amount of time…god, he hated this. He didn’t want to leave him like this…so broken and nowhere to go but back to his abusive lover. The only thing Dom could think of was sending Lij to one of the guys, or…he could take him back to Hawaii with him! Now that was a thought…something he hadn’t considered last night when he sat up, watching over Elijah until his eyes wouldn’t stay open anymore. Elijah in Hawaii, safe and sound and with him. Elijah could heal there. The sun and the fresh air and the ocean…it’d heal him. He’d be a ocean away from the man who had hurt him. He’d be with Dom. But was that what Elijah, himself would want? Did he even want to stay with Dom or did he want to find a way to return to his mother? Maybe he’d be more comfortable with Sean…but then again…it wasn’t Sean he had ran to. It wasn’t Debbie Wood. Elijah had come to Dom. He trusted Dom. He knew Dom would take care of him, and damn it, he wasn’t going to disappoint the lad.
Dom fished the wallet out of his pants pocket and dug out his most recent credit card and pressed it into Emilie’s hand. He caught her eye and held her nervous gaze. This was too important to mess up. If this was going to work, time was of the essence. Elijah had to be on that plane. There was no other option.
“Go to the airport and buy a extra first class ticket…Elijah’s coming back with us.”
“What?” Emilie’s eyes widened. She thought that Dom would take Elijah to the nearest hospital and drop him off before returning. Then again, this shouldn’t have surprised her. Dom didn’t occur to her to be the type of person who would abandon a friend in need, which was one of the things she adored about him. It was a known fact among the cast that if anyone needed anything at all, Dominic was the person to go to.
“Listen, there’s no time to explain. I have to get packed, plus get Elijah ready for travel. Just…do as I ask. Please,” Dom’s gaze was pleading. He really didn’t want to have to explain his reasoning. He just couldn’t leave Elijah here, where that psycho could find him. He may not have been Elijah’s boyfriend for two years now, but that didn’t mean that he had stopped caring about him. He was going to take care of Lij, just like he would if it had been Billy broken and beaten. Just like he would have if they had still been together…even though this would never have happened if they had been.
“Ok. I’ll go now and check in my baggage while I’m at it. You better hurry if you two plan to make it on time. I’ll call and tell you where to pick up the ticket,” Emilie sighed, having a very bad feeling about all of this. Dom was going to have a lot of explaining to do when they get back to Hawaii, but for now she wasn’t going to think about that. She was going to help her friend help someone he obviously still cared about.
Dom smiled, feeling like at least one problem had been solved. He could worry about the other waiting problems when they got to Hawaii. He watched as Emilie disappeared back into her own room, before closing his own door and turned to face Elijah, who just stared at him with wide blue eyes. He winced at the bruises that marred the face he had kissed so many time in his dreams. He was still baffled. How could anyone want to hurt him like this? Why? If he ever saw that sick fuck anywhere near Elijah again, Dom was pretty sure he would kill him.
“Who was that?” Elijah asked, the fear in his eyes beginning to fade as it became clear that the person was no threat to either Dom or himself.
“Emilie. She stopped by to remind me to be ready to leave this afternoon,” Dom sighed, taking a seat at the edge of the bed. He reached out and took Elijah’s good hand when the young man’s eyes widened in alarm. He bit his lip, hoping that Elijah would see things his way; that it was safer for everyone if Elijah came to Hawaii with him to live…at least until he was on his feet again. Of course, he didn’t expect Elijah to be happy with the arrangement, but it was all he had at the moment, because there was no way he could stay in LA and no way he was going to just leave Elijah in the care of just anyone.
“…Are you going to call one of the guys or drop me off at the hospital?” Elijah looked away, relaxing the hold on Dom’s hand. “I-I understand. I mean…I came and dropped my problems into your life without even thinking…you have a life of your own. You don’t need me fucking it up.”
Dom stared at Elijah who was avoiding his eyes, not wanting him to see the abject misery there. Dom wanted to take Elijah into his arms just then. Just pull him in and hold on tight, never letting go again, no matter what he said about silly careers and public opinion. Instead, he tightened his hold on Elijah’s hand, not taking his eyes from him. “I’m taking you with us.”
“What?” Elijah’s voice was full of awe and disbelief. He definitely hadn’t expected this. “What did you just say?”
“I’m taking you with us to Hawaii, Lij. I promised you that I was going to help and I am. Right now, I think the best thing to do is get as much distance between yourself and this Kevin bloke as soon as possible.”
Words escaped Elijah at this news. This was more than he had ever expected from Dom. He was thinking that maybe Dom would get in touch with a member of the fellowship and escort him to his new home for a little while…but to actually have Dom take him under his own wing and fly him to safety in paradise…why that was more than he had dared hope for. “I…I don’t know what to say.”
“Just say you’ll come with me. I promise, I won’t bring up the past. I just…I just want to help you get on your feet. Start a new life. I want to take care of you.”
Elijah smiled, a tear leaving his eye. There was no way he could refuse Dom at that moment, even if he wanted to. He didn’t deserve this kindness Dom was bestowing upon him…but it was getting it none the less. He knew Dom would help him…he just hadn’t known it would be this much. “Dom…you don’t have to do this. I know that you have you own life…you don’t have to bring me into it.”
“I want to Lij. I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t. We were best mates once…and we still are. No matter how much time has passed. We’re like brothers. No amount of time will ever change that. So…do you think you’re ok enough to fly?” Dom squeezed his hand once more, wanting to convey that this really was no trouble at all. It was something he wanted to do and nothing was going to change his mind. “You need me Elijah and I’m going to take care of you.”
“I…I don’t know what to say…except thank you. I…I really don‘t know how I‘m going to pay you back for all you‘ve done for me. I really don‘t.”
Dom shook his head, wondering when it was he had officially lost his mind. If Elijah‘s boyfriend ever found him again, there was sure to be a lot of trouble…but that was something that Dom was willing to face. He wanted Elijah back in his life somehow and he was going to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
“Lean back Lijah and let me do all the work. We‘ll be off just as soon as Emilie calls about the ticket. You’re going to love it in Hawaii, Lij. The Sun, the sand, the surf. It’ll be like old times in New Zealand,” Dom smiled, the dream he woke up from filtering back into his thoughts. It wasn’t just a dream…it was a memory of happier times…of a time when he and Elijah had first began their short lived affair. Dom had to admit that he wanted those times back. He wanted Elijah to look at him again with those eyes and love him…to be with him. His want was growing into a desire, a desire that he wasn’t about to admit to at this time. He had been terribly hurt when Elijah had broken up with him. His heart had been torn out and stomped on. At one time Dom had thought that he’d never want anything to do with Elijah Wood again, but seeing Elijah as the broken one, helpless and in need of his help…it had brought all those feelings back. The want to help was quickly turning into a need. Dom just hoped that it didn’t grow from a need to help into a need for something more. He didn’t think he could handle Elijah’s rejection again. Friends was fine. In fact, it was for the best. The want for something more would just have to be ignored for now. Right now, Dom had a friend to get ready for travel. Anything after that was just going to have to wait.
