[C.S.I.] Silk
Title: Silk
Author: Trio Maxwell-Chang
Fandom: C.S.I.
Pairing or POV: Grissom/Sara
Special Note: Although this is based on the new trailer, it is not required knowledge to understand the drabble, and the drabble gives away no spoilers, to my knowledge. This is a companion piece to Reenactment.
She's against the wall as he pins her there, his body looming over hers. He keeps his eyes carefully distant, praying she can't hear the pounding of his heart. They've reenacted scenes before. So why does this one feel different?
He knows how she feels. She told him. She finally came out and said it, blatant and determined. And he let her slip through his fingers, those self-same fingers that are even now tracing down her arm, over her side. It's just reenactment.
He never expected her skin to feel so soft. Catherine's perhaps, but Catherine takes great pains in her body, a habit from her dancing days. But Sara's skin is soft and smooth, silk beneath the rough pads of his fingertips. Her eyes follow the path of his hand.
If he'd ever been able to read her, it wasn't now. She was a mystery to him, subtle scent and seductive skin. She remained silent and still, waiting for him to finish, perhaps...
Or maybe waiting for something else.
"Sara..."
