Hey guys! Patricia here with yet another character. Everybody, meet Evan's baby brother, Ethan Vaisey.

At a first glance, you can tell Ethan is Evan's brother - but spend a few moments talking to him, and you'll see they're nothing alike (or at least that's how Ethan sees it, as we know Evan has been changing his ways). He's shy, sensitive, intelligent and gentlemanly, and is completely judgmental of Evan and his (old) pervy ways. You can blame it partially on their cousin Ella, who decided to use ickle Ethan as her sympathetic ear and told him more than he ever wanted to know about his close relations, though he'd been "rebelling" long before that.

He's turned 20 very recently, and is working as a trainee Healer at St Mungo's, turning what makes him an oddball Vaisey into a career. Also, he's been dating Leah's sister Rachel (who also joins the game) since they were second years(!), and the relationship keeps going strong and stable. You can collect your dropped jaws now.

Well, Rachel loves him. He's her best friend, soulmate, etc. etc. etc. Expect lots of love and cuddling. Backstory-wise, is Ethan a no-sex-before-marriage type? Because I was thinking maybe they could have lost their collective virginities on Rachel's 17th birthday, because it was important to them that they both be officially adults first. (*glares at Evan*)

Myron doesn't know who he is but is always happy to see a fellow Ravenclaw.

Glenys may know him from being a Healer? We can have some kind of relationship there, possibly.

Luke won't know him. Yakov won't know him. Valentina won't know him. Lee won't know him. Barney won't know him but will be friendly. Mel won't know him but appreciates him. Dean won't know him.

Lucy has some Hogwarts overlap but doesn't have much reason to know him. He may not like her because she was IS, but on the plus side she and Evan don't get on :-P

Alex doesn't really know him, but he may know Alex from the IS. Alex and Evan have some mutual friends.

Romilda also has some mutual friends with Evan (mainly Devon) but other than that there's no real connection.

Jade has school overlap and they share a house but Ethan probably doesn't like her because of the IS.

Aaaaaaand Evan. Evan wishes they had a better relationship. He was probably very sneery about Ethan's life choices once upon a time but now wants to be more like Ethan. He will talk to Ethan and try to be nice. We'll see how that goes :-/

That definitely fits with Ethan's ideals. While he likes the idea of waiting, marriage feels like it's too long to wait. (That said, he already has a mental image of how he'll propose, though he's not planning to take any action towards that until he steps up from being a trainee.)

When would Barney not be friendly, really? :)

If Ethan notices Lucy doesn't get on with Evan, it might earn her a few points to her favour. :P

He's not too impressed with either Alex or Jade. Jade especially he makes a point of avoiding both because of the IS thing and because of Leah. He's a bit afraid of Leah but looks up to her, and so that counts against Jade as much as the Evan connection.

That said, he's also a bit intimidated with Romilda, but for different reasons. She's scary.

Ethan has spent way too many years seeing Evan act like an arse (his words), so it might be a bit hard to be receptive. It will all depend on how Evan tries to approach him.

	Awwwww Ethan. You would have to be very obviously pretty awful for Barney not to be nice! No-one likes Jade. It is sad to be Jade. Romilda is kind of scary, to be fair. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Gertie adores him even if she doesn't get his mushy romantic relationship with Rachel. But that's just because Gertie is aromantic as hell. They'll probably have an awkward heart to heart at some point about how she doesn't feel the same feelings as everybody else.

Vic knew him via Gertie (and probably Gertie's other close friend Josie?) and noticed him more after she started hooking up with his big bruv. I don't think they've probably ever talked though. If he was on the journals back during the love spell I'm sure Ethan realised that Vic and Evan had been screwing in secret. Yikes.

Sean was a prefect and watched over the Hufflepuff little'uns, so he'd probably know Ethan was dating one of his ducklings? More recently Sean has been friends with Evan, so he might notice him? Also that thing where they dated for two (VERY REGRETTABLE) weeks.

Quentin creeps on Ethan and Rachel because he's very nosey about Evan's personal life.

Other than that, I don't see a lot of connections!

Heh, said heart to heart will be very awkward indeed, though Ethan will try to be all sympathetic and understanding.

Ethan was away from the journals at that point, so he has no idea of what Vic and Evan had been doing, which is good for her because he'd be judgmental. He doesn't have a very positive opinion on anyone who might show an interest on either of his brothers, I'm sorry to say.

Likewise, he'd be unimpressed with what he calls Sean's poor choice in friends, even if he looked up to him in the past for looking after Rachel and Gertie. Maybe once the two brothers reconcile (though I'm not sure when/if that will happen) he'll once again be a little warmer.

Quentin weirds Ethan out.
