WHO: Maks Volkov and Taryn Howard
WHAT: Best idea ever?!?!
WHERE: Their home
WHEN: Midafternoon, 10th November
RATING: Lowish, probably.
The books had been a great help for some of Taryn's questions, but they'd also left her with a number of exciting new worries. So many things could go wrong at any time, it could cripple a person.
But she had promised not to worry, not to stress, not to dwell, and she was doing a fairly good job. So far, anyway. It helped to keep busy and to focus on the things she was determined to do right. Stressing out over things she couldn't control would only make her feel worse down the road.
So here she was, ignoring her books - which she'd pretty much memorized by this point anyway - and doing actual work. She was at the kitchen table with her feet pulled up onto the chair with her, bending over a long scroll of parchment with a quill, scratching away.
A cooling mug of tea sat forgotten beside her, which had long since lost the ability to steam. She was quite wrapped up in her work, for the moment nothing else was important enough for her notice.
