X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN AND MCU MOVIEVERSE RPG
Established in May 2003, X-Project is a journal-based RPG on Dreamwidth. We use a combination of in-character journals and third-person, co-written logs (think cooperative fanfic). Our players hail from a combination of the comics fanfic lists, Livejournal RPGs, and a variety of RL backgrounds.
We're looking for active players who want to write their own stories collaboratively with others while utilizing amazing characters and their even more amazing powers. We work as a group to bring major, gamewide plots to fruition while also encouraging smaller plots and one-on-one, two-player logs. We have a central reading community where you can keep up with everything that's going on, two OOC communities on DW for public and player-only discussions, and a thriving Discord community for players to share ideas, ask questions, or just chat about their day.
We take inspiration from all Marvel properties: comics, television, and movies. Want to bring some of the X-Men: Apocalypse characters into the present day and see how they work? Please do! Loved the mutants in Runaways? So did we! Character canonically dead? Doesn't matter! Even the most obscure Marvel character is appable, provided they're a mutant and have a reason to stay at an institute for mutants. There's even precedent for giving a non-mutant powers to make them playable! Additionally, we have a variety of ways to play - you can be a superhero with the X-Men, a spy with X-Force, a private detective with X-Factor Investigations, or a dimension-saving oddball with eXcalibur!
If you have any questions about the game, Phase 1 versus Phase 2 characters, the application process, or anything else, please feel free to contact us. We're happy to help in any way possible. We encourage all kinds of activity and appreciate all voices who want to contribute to our ongoing story.
Please Note:</b> The MCU's Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor are modsock NPCs and unavailable for applications. That said, if they're needed in a plot and you're a player, don't hesitate to put your name in the ring for socking duty.

In The Tardis
A panfandom game
PREMISE
For years, the TARDIS traveled throughout time with her Doctor. Together, they visited many important events in time, met people and creatures from all walks of life, and had adventures worth telling stories about. And though the face of her Doctor changed from time to time, he was still hers, and she was happy to travel throughout space and time.
And then, one day, her Doctor was gone. How he disappeared, she did not know. He just vanished. Distraught, the TARDIS began to travel through space and time, searching for him. But no matter how hard she looked, she could not find him. So, she decided to use her powers in different ways. She began to pull people inside of her, hoping that one of them might be her Doctor.
But none of them were her Doctor. In fact, she began to pull people from different universes, universes with no Doctor at all. And the people that she has pulled that know the Doctor, none of them seem to know her Doctor. Even the ones that are the Doctor themselves. None of them are her.
So the TARDIS travels, to different times, universes, and worlds, searching for her Doctor. The people that she pulls from other universes are free to roam the TARDIS as they please, and explore these new times and universes, and face the challenges that come with them.
Will the TARDIS ever find what she is looking for? Will the people she's taken ever find their way home?

Tower Aspera is an original psychological horror game centering around the abduction of a seemingly random group of people, and the experiments they are subjected to. Every character has been harboring a secret their entire life: they're not human. Every day the characters will be tested against strange scenarios and harsh stimuli. They will have no choice but to live and work with one another in the strange town they have been placed in. Play by the rules and be rewarded. Refuse, and be punished. They have no contact with their captors, but one thing is apparent: escape is impossible.
Through the course of gameplay the characters will come to realize their selection for this involuntary experiment isn’t random at all. Each and every one of them has something in common - a secret they've been keeping their whole lives. Perhaps there will be comfort to be found in this new camaraderie. Our advice? Take it whenever, and wherever, you can.

// Dread South is a southern gothic horror game that takes place in the fictional town of Angelica, where a mysterious entity called Arcady has made a pact with the residents. The premise relies on story telling, development and character relationships. The focus is on story development through written prose. There is less emphasis on ic socials media and visual media posting. We are looking for people who are ready to participate in plots and the setting; no ghosting after successfully applying a character. We're a great group of people that love to plot and believe that kindness and communication are the best way for a collaborative writing game to have longevity. We opened in March of 2022! All applications are open with particular need for the the leader of the Witches and sect members for the Verity wolf pack, psychics, Hellhounds, and church parishioners . We do most of our communicating through discord. We know it's a rich premise but we are dedicated to helping you integrate your characters! //

About ten years after King Arthur died, the Isle of Avalon, and the city of Camelot were separated from our world by magic. It became it's own realm. Held in a magical bubble to protect it from the world. Or, was it to protect the world from it. No one really remembers why, or even how anymore. All they know are the stories that have survived.
Life went on like normal. Until it didn't. Until one day, a stranger walked out of the mists surrounding the island. A stranger who wasn't even from the world outside, they were from a different world, a different timeline. And, it didn't stop with them. More started coming, and they needed to figure out how, and why.

Welcome to Bermuda, a small, remote island in the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North America, known for its pink-sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and exotic natural wonders!

As part of the infamous Bermuda Triangle (or the Devil's Triangle, as some call it), there is a legend to be had, and with this legend comes chaos. A tropical paradise greets you at first glance, but upon further investigation, you'll notice that the island is deserted and appears to have been for years.
Those living here just vanished during their regular daily routine on March 15th, 2010. Do you know the story of Roanoke Island? Yeah, it's kind of like that. You'll find mysterious carvings of random words and symbols scattered over 21 square miles. What do they mean? Do they hold clues to what might've happened?
Only time will tell if they're total nonsense or justifiable warnings.

The beach was suddenly replaced with a mountain community similar to Colorado. A Post-War Harry Potter AU
Wounds that are picked at will never scab. Come to the Retreat, where we know the trauma and hurt sown by two generations of Wizarding Wars, and where we will help you find the understanding to try to heal.
Just mind the hands that won't let those wounds clot.
Done and Dusted is an AU Harry Potter game set in 2002, with its canon point divergence being post-HBP. So while the war ended and Harry did his hero thing, it didn't necessarily have such a neat and happy ending. We all know that major events such as this has an effect on people in both positive and negative ways. This game's intention is to explore the more messy and unpretty effects and how it affects both the characters and those around them. Done and Dusted is centered around a dark plot and will have dark themes.
Patients will not be able to use magic on the Retreat premises, and have no idea that the person in charge has every intention of ensuring mental wellness won't be achieved.
