The year is 2186. Humanity has
found a place among the stars, joining a galactic community consisting of dozens
of intelligent races. It seems the potential for growth and advancement are
limitless. Then, rising from the depths of dark space, come the Reapers. They
threaten to destroy all intelligent life, transforming the dead into cybernetic
soldiers. Meanwhile a xenophobic terrorist faction known as Cerberus begins to
strike across the galaxy. Just as things seem at their most dire, an
experimental weapon rips a tear in the fabric of space-time. Strange new
individuals begin to appear. Adventurers, Soldiers, Scientists, Wizards and
Warriors. In their desperation, the Galactic Council decides to seek help from
the strangers. The fate of all life now rests in the hands of these Outsiders,
as they try to adjust to their new home: a massive city-station at the heart of
the galaxy, known as the Citadel...

The Citadel is a Panfandom RPG, set in the Mass Effect Universe. Canon and
Original characters from any fandoms are welcome. Knowledge of the Mass Effect
Universe is not necessary in any way, as the game is intended to allow players
to shape their own narratives.

With the epic Reaper War as a backdrop, your characters are free to develop
however you like. Monthly Missions allow players to join, create, or lead
adventures, with the Mods periodically acting in a role similar to Game Masters
in tabletop RPGs. Lead a covert mission to capture a power plant on a desert
world, go undercover to catch an assassin on the Citadel's city streets, push
the boundaries of science as your character works to unravel the mysteries of
the universe, or simply make friends and have fun. The choice is yours.
