Does anyone write in the Witcher or Dragon Age fandom that is interested in some adventures with a healthy dollop of the wonderful kind of horror that each setting contains? Definitely feeling inspired by this and this, where hunting monsters is not a black and white affair. Gen or slash, please!
In the Witcher fandom, I'd like to write my OC witcher Absalon (pb Henry Cavill), who is from the now-defunct School of the Viper in Nilfgaard. I'd like to write against an OC, whether that's another witcher, the subject of one of his contracts, or something else entirely (a Scoia'tael?). I'd also be open to writing against a Geralt, though I'll admit that my knowledge of the sociopolitical arena of the various kingdoms is still developing and I haven't yet finished Witcher 3. Ideally, I'd like to keep the stories smaller in scale with the characters moving from job to job, struggling to find work, and dealing with the morality of hunting in a world where men are often more evil than the monsters.
For Dragon Age, I've got my elven mage Aramiel (pb Patrick Kafka). His origin is fairly flexible, as I've got a Dalish and Circle backstory for him depending on what kind of story we'd like to write. Again, I'd prefer to write with other original characters but I'm open to some canon characters, as well. I'm far better versed in Dragon Age history than I am Witcher, so I'm perfectly fine with either a rural adventure or an urban line that deals with Circle/Chantry politics. Dalish Aramiel is looking for his missing (kidnapped) Keeper but also works well as an agent of the Inquisition. Circle Aramiel is a Chantry loyalist who wants to hunt down maleficar and try and keep order in the wake of the Mage-Templar war. I have plenty ideas for both! Alternatively, the idea struck me of playing Aramiel as a Grey Warden, either during a new Blight or in the twilight of the Fifth Blight. A survival horror adventure in the Deep Roads could be fun!
