Though Hiro had seen that dose of narcotic--until Genma burned it off, probably nothing short of a herd of stampeding genin would wake him.

Or potentially a threat to Raidou, given the state they were in now. But Hiro's chakra-flow was carefully contained and docile, and he certainly wasn't going to make any sharp movements.
