Genma gave his friend a skeptical look. Hurt, definitely, somewhere on the trunk, because he was holding his whole core rigid. Not particularly unlike Genma himself had been for the last several days. "You hurt your back. Don't be an idiot, go lie on the bed and let me see how bad it is. I'm mother medic, remember? The bedsheets aren't gonna contagion you or anything. I even changed them this morning. Did laundry and everything."

Which had been a big accomplishment, really. Sad though that was, to feel accomplished for having clean underwear in his dresser and fresh sheets on the bed.
