"How come I'm not getting any of the fun drugs?" Ryouma complained. He wrapped his arm around Tsume's shoulders and forced himself a bit more vertical. "Tsume gets morphine, Kakashi gets soldier pills, doctor gets--heroin and speed? Crack for sure."

Kakashi and Tsume seemed to know the man, at least, though apparently none of them took much pleasure in the acquaintance. Ryouma watched humor twinkling in the rheumy green eyes, and figured maybe he had a chance.

"They both need beds--this one's getting a bit narrow. I need coffee. Prefer my drugs oral, not intraveneous." He kicked at the tangled sheets, freed his foot, and hooked his ankle around Kakashi's waist, tugging him back. "If you can hook us up with that, we'll be all kinds of grateful."

His wide, entirely shameless grin hinted at exactly what form of payment that gratitude would take.
