Vaan didn't know what to do. To be honest he was a little overwhelmed and the only thing he was certain of was the fact that half of the King's men were out somewhere in the forest - dead or alive - and he needed to find them as fast as he could. Shaking his head he shoved everything in his brain aside for a moment and smiled softly as Gabrielle, "Its not your fault. I just need to be a bit more comfortable in my own skin." Moving from the fireplace he picked up his coat from where he had set it earlier.
"I need to do what I can, as soon as I can," he moved to stand in front of her and looked down at his hands. "I--I'm sorry for being so cold. Let me know what I can do to make it up to you," he bent down and, albeit it was a bit awkward, wrapped his arms around her for a few moments. "Please come find me tomorrow, we can talk," he said, walking toward the door, "And, for me, don't worry."
