"You don't have to apologize." Gabrielle turned toward the fireplace, staring into the fire. "It's- you're fine. Honestly." She didn't quite know what to say or to think. Domenic couldn't be gone. He had to come back for her. He just had to. She wasn't sure how long she stared, nibbling at her lower lip.
"I'm sorry," she said softly, turning back to him. "I shouldn't- I shouldn't have hugged you. It was out of line, and I- I am sorry."
