Hello fellow train passengers! I have come to understand that this train is not the train that I was traveling upon prior to arriving here. How odd! No matter. I am sure that I will catch up with my train and with my friend, Elphaba, eventually. Magic has a way of fixing itself like that! Well, most of the time. Perhaps not often, but it does!

My name is Glinda, and I am certain that I will be very happy to meet each and every one of you, and I certainly plan on doing so! I do ask that if you come across an adorable, green-skinned young lady who answers by the name of Elphaba, or Elphie, please do let me know!

...I'm beginning to think I'm the only one here who doesn't have magic.

Oh, how tragic! I mean, I know plenty of wonderful people who don't use magic, but how sad! What is it that you do, then?

I actually don't find it sad.

I'm a Huntsman. Or the Sheriff of Storybrooke. Depends on which life you mean.

Which life? You have multiple ones?

Oh, you are interesting! Do tell me more.

Well....

Apparently I'm a fairy tale character who was transplanted to a small town in Maine by an evil witch who wanted to rob us all of our happy endings, and forced to forget my Fairy Tale character past.

I was given fake memories and my real ones were stripped from me until...well...just a few days ago.

Oh, and yeah, I'm also perfectly sane. Really.

That's...terrible! Oh, you poor thing! Evil witches. They are so overrated, and have an awful sense of fashion. Really! All that black and dark and gloom? Gross!

Are your former memories happy ones? If they are, those are the ones you should embrace! But if both lives have been enjoyable, why not live both? You understand who you are, and who you were, thus you should live in today!

It really makes more sense when Elphie says things like that...

Well...

In one set of memories I had my heart ripped out by an evil witch who made me her slave and pet. In all ways.

In the other set of memories, said evil witch forced me into a torrid and unfulfilling love affair before crushing my heart into dust.

So...six of one, half dozen of another?

It sounds to me like you need some immediate assistance in the relationship and love department, my dear Sheriff Huntsman!

Thanks, but on my own, without magical 'assistance', I do just fine. Notice what those two things have in common? Yep. Witches.

We should stick together.

I've never trusted magic, myself.

Definitely.

I think you'd call my artefacts magic so I won't mention those ...

Claudia Donovan. You can call me Claud, if you want. Or Claudia's fine. Whatever's cool.

Eh, whatever. Really. Get called Claudia more than Claud, get called stuff not even close to either of the two. I'm pretty flexible.

You?

I don't have a name.

I'm known as the Huntsman.

Because wolves don't name the children they raise.

Glinda, you are most welcome. My name is Jim. May I say what a pleasure it is to see such a sunny personality in our midst? Optimism and cheer can be rare commodities on this train. I look forward to making your acquaintance.

Isn't it? I do appreciate a lovely helping of cheerfulness in my day. It's even better when it comes from me!

I can see that; I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see someone looking forward to tomorrow, and in such a persuasive way, too. There are a lot of permanently unhappy types here. I think you're just what we've needed.

Well, there is always cause behind sadness, but with every bout of sadness comes a glimmer of hope. Usually I'm right behind it, so who wouldn't want to have it?

I'll have to see to these unhappy folks. A little sprucing up might do them some good.

Well, aren't you a chipper one?

Hello there luv. I'm Mandy. I've not seen any ladies with green skin, and believe me I would certainly seek them out for a snog chat if ever I did.

I'll certainly keep an eye out, but it is lovely to meet you.
