Actually... There is, one of my best friends is a Demon. And technically it's for liars and cheats but if they're willing to lie and cheat in a small society like the train... Who knows what kinda other stuff they've done to help seal the deal in their own world.

I mean what kind of jerk is deserate enough to rig a train prom. Especially when it's taking it away from two kids that would never get the chance to go to any dance in their own world, let alone see a prom.

	I'm not sure if there's another demon on the train you're friends with, but Hell's a bit more selective than worrying about who won Prom King and Queen. I'm bullshitting her. She messed with what's mine. It's a territorial thing. Gotta put a little fear into her, cause this 'no there's not' like she knows, isn't gonna fly. And it gives her away.

Besides you're my only female best friend. So I didn't lie to her about that part. And I didn't saaay you told me about the other part. How does she know that the soul collector of hell doesn't watch for ballot stuffing?

There's no such thing as Demons where I'm from, and maybe people who lie and cheat here don't have such things in their worlds. I mean, there's bigger things in the world to consider than if you lie - the only way in my world that it all comes out is that when you reach the land of the dead, you have to tell stories to the Harpies, and they know if you're lying, and if you don't have good stories, they won't let you pass. The story of someone rigging a train vote isn't going to matter at all to them.

Besides, you don't even know if there was cheating, just that one girl without any ~~useful~~ stories of her own didn't win. That's not a bad thing.

Maybe so, but this train isn't their world, now is it? And on this train there are Angels and Demons. Not to mention the things that go bump in the night. And, really, it's those things that can make this train ride a proper hell for the people who cheat and steal from other people on the train.

Actually... Considering all the campaining I did for the two kids I was talking about, and the fact that no one knows the people that did win, is one big sign that there was cheating. And I imagine getting the ballots wouldn't be all that difficut... And you would be surprised how long someone's scent lingers on something as poreous as paper. If they tried to disguise their handwriting at all. Quinn's story doesn't matter, the fact that she wasn't low enough to cheat to win does.
