Entry tags:!open, !plot, percy jackson, {tara thornton, ~sammii, ~tara

Characters: Tara Thornton and Open
When: Friday Evening
Location: Open Air Car
Warnings/Rating: Language, Vampire Tantrums, etc. (Tara's singing a love song and ain't too happy about it.)
Summary: Tara decides to check out the open air car and the creatures in the cave and suddenly has an urge to sing.
Status: Open, Ongoing

People were singing all across the train and it didn't appear as if it was by choice. Tara had been avoiding contact with people in case the train decided to mess with her. The last thing she wanted was to be caught singing some shitty song the train chose. The standoff between Pam was still active and while she wanted her Maker it was nice going about doing whatever the hell she wanted. She'd successfully ditched the red headed baby vampire a few days before allowing for some peace and quiet. It was a wonder what difference a year made. While the older vampire was annoying where she was from she was even worse here. Wanting to talk at all hours. The girl needed to find friends and fast. It took no time at all to walk the length of the train and then back. When Tara grew bored of that she decided to stop in the open air car. Outside the train it was cold, dark, and damp, allowing for a remembrance of the basement of Fangtasia. So long as they stayed under ground in the cave a sense of calm settled over her. Sitting down on one of the benches she just looked at the scenery, or lack thereof, and the glowing creatures. All of a sudden her foot began to tap and then words began flowing from her mouth. Her only thought that kept repeating in her head was fuck

Oooh ...
This will be an everlasting love
This will be the one I've waited for
This will be the first time anyone has loved me

I'm so glad you found me in time
And I'm so glad that you've rectified my mind
This will be an everlasting love for me

"And what will happen if I do?" Percy asked, raising an eyebrow in amused curiosity. "Will you stop treating humans like burritos? Somehow, I doubt it."

He could see easily that only the sword was stopping her from attacking. At least she wasn't completely stupid. He might have only been sixteen years old, but he definitely knew how to use Riptide. He'd lost count of how many monsters had used it as a one-way ticket to Tartarus.

"We're watching you," he said softly. "All of us are."

Crossing her arms over her chest she leveled a death glare his direction. "Listen, Jackson. I don' feed on humans directly. Bagged blood is quite enough for me."

Back home Pam had often let her feed on Fangbangers. In public she'd drank TruBlood like any good mainstreamer should, despite how ridiculous it truly was. Her Maker had been right, that they'd need to keep the pretense up even with the world going to shit.

She rolled her eyes at his mention of being watched. All the vampires on board knew that the pesky demigods were watching their every move. But who were they to say what they could and couldn't do. If there was a willing human on board that allowed any of them to feed directly then it was none of their business.

"Oh, really," Percy said, entirely unconvinced. "Never heard the vampires say that before. That they're happy with bagged blood."

Still, he wasn't going to kill her for no reason, or with no proof of wrong doing. He simply wasn't that kind of a person. Tyson was a good example of a monster who wasn't bad, and if this vampire was anything like Tyson (which he strongly doubted, by the way), then he wasn't about to kill her without giving her a chance.

"Fine," he said finally. "But make sure you stay with the bags of blood."
