She liked that he was humoring her. He was usually right about things when it came to the train, which she tended to attribute to his knack for knowing things. Whether or not he believed it, he always seemed to know exactly what to say to her when she wasn't sure what she needed to hear. "That works for me," Rogue replied with a shy sort of smile. She liked it when he grinned like that and even if she didn't like horseback riding, it would still be a nice way to spend time with him. It was certainly something new.
Rogue had the decency to look mildly chastised, but she still stood by what she said. A place as nice as the resort would be very tempting and she had a feeling she'd seriously attempt to convince Logan to stay with her. He did have people that he cared about on the train though, and she wasn't sure if he'd leave them. There were a few people she'd miss if she left, namely Beth, but if Logan was game for leaving, it wouldn't stop her from going with him.
"Really?" She was somewhat surprised that he thought some people would stay. "But it's connected to the train. What if we ended up stuck there and it started messing with us?" Rogue didn't think that would be good, especially since there was no way of knowing if a fixed train would come along to save them. It was just too big a risk in her mind, plus wouldn't anyone who stayed possibly get fed up with each other? Rogue couldn't imagine it. "Well, hopefully if anyone does stay they'll be able to without anything bad happening to them."
The sketchbook was handed over happily and she watched as he flipped through the pages. The first page was a sketch of the landscape beneath her balcony only half colored in. An attempt at a self-portrait came next on one side of the page and the other was a slightly better (though Rogue would say significantly better) portrait of Beth. The page after that was filled with doodles of random designs that didn't have much rhyme or reason to them. The next few were landscapes of the stops they'd had since Nebraska, not perfect but the best she remembered. The next page was the last one that had a drawing on it, though it was more of a collection of faces. She'd sketched most of the people she remembered from home; Bobby and Kitty, John, Piotr, Logan, Professors Summers, Grey, and Monroe, Kurt, and then Professor Xavier in the front of them and the crest for his school beneath him.
