The Exodus Program

History

2nd July 2010

8:41pm: Daily Update - June 1st, 2065
Victoria Island, BC
Weather: The rain continues throughout the night and well into the next day. The temperature drops down to 18C (64F), inviting all those people stuck in stuffy hotel rooms to crack open their balcony doors and let some fresh air blow in. The day stays dim, the sun never peeks through the clouds. Below, you can watch people come and go between the buildings with umbrellas.

Events: The Program is hosting a live concert today in the hopes of shucking off some of the sadness of the week. Those not on lockdown will be able to come to the largest conference room where a stage has been set up for free and enjoy a showing of the 1970’s rock opera Tommy as performed by the Punters. It’s been getting rave reviews on the concert circuit and the Program Entertainment Organizers think it will be a huge success.

For those on lockdown who wish to enjoy the concert, they can load in via their entertainment terminals. A notice about the event will show up on the screen as a glowing blue button in the bottom left corner. The show will start promptly at 7:30 p.m.

Program Housekeeping Announcements

Housekeeping staff - Please be kind to the people who are keeping up your suites with such discrete professionalism. Notify Housekeeping through your terminals if you have broken glass or any flooding. Thank you.

Health And Safety in Conjunction with the Chef’s Kitchens - The recent storm has brought in a cloud of red tide. For the next while all fish products will be removed from the menu. Please refrain from making special requests for seafood. The staff in Chef’s Kitchen wants nothing more but to provide ecstatic and healthy culinary experiences.

Politics: The same old stuff is being aired in the political arena save for a fundamentalist Christian movement not associated with the Coalition of God is gaining votes and voice in the world political forum. It’s leader, Pastor Stacey Mulligan, is claiming that the Exodus Program is a den of sexual slavery, buying people by offering them safe passage to a healthier world while forsaking those who are not “attractive” to them.

The Board of Directors is not worried by this new outcry. They have heard it before and they all appear confident and well versed.

Program Members can watch the political debates through their terminals all day, every day.
