Hermione knew she was being suspicious to Harry and Ron. She didn't mean to, but she wasn't prepared to tell Harry about her conversation with the person claiming his name was Albus yet, and she was hoping he didn't see it either. And Ron? She was keeping as far away from Ron as she possibly could after what she'd found out. That she wasn't just married to Ron in the future, but she had childen with him, and the thought of having both, filled her with terror and excitement. But she couldn't let herself be consumed with thinking about it. She'd meet with this Albus, find out what was going on after administering the truth serum she found in the bottom of the bag, and then carry on running. They didn't really have a plan anymore. Everything they'd been doing to fight back kept being thwarted by Voldemort, and things were getting too close to call sometimes. She had no idea how much more she could do. After setting up the camp in the middle of a small circle of trees, she told the boys she was going down to the picnic area to see if there was anything that had been left that they could have for dinner, and she set off.
It was dark by now, so she was careful to have the tip of her wand lit as she walked, kicking stones occasionally. The lapping of the water relaxed her a little, and seeing the area was empty for now, she took a seat on one of the picnic benches, and put the wand out, plunging the area in darkness. As she sat there, she ran through defensive and healing spells in her head, making sure she'd put all the protection she could on the tent. She'd just got to the end of her mental list when there was a soft pop from behind her, and she turned around to see a person standing not too long ago.
