Who: Mohinder Suresh When: 7:17 pm Where: Chandra Suresh's apartment, New York What: looking for his father
The higher-ups at the university had only been too happy to oblige when Mohinder had told them he wanted to go on sabbatical, even though he'd given hardly them any notice; he supposed they were glad to have a respite from his the 'radical' theories he and his father shared. Chandra had called him a few days before in excitement, claiming he'd found proof of his theories. Mohinder had offered to join him in New York and assist him in his research, but Chandra had refused. Still, Mohinder had devoted his entire career to his father's theories - he wasn't about to let Chandra shut him out this time, not when he was on the verge of a breakthrough.
It had seemed a brilliant idea; now, though, Mohinder was sighing with frustration, knocking on the door to his father's apartment yet again, though he was sure that if Chandra was going to answer he would've done so already. He'd tried calling as soon as he arrived in New York just hours before, but he'd reached voice mail every time.
It was possible that his father was just working, but at the same time, Mohinder was starting to feel uneasy. Despite his scientific background, he was inclined to trust in his intuition, and right now it was screaming at him that something was wrong. Though the rational part of his brain was telling him to try again later, Mohinder studied the lock on the door. He was rather certain he could manage to pry it open...
A few attempts later and he'd managed to get into the apartment, though the lock had suffered some damage. There was no one in sight; his father's papers were in disarray, and he stepped over to the desk, leaning over to pick up the papers that had fallen on the floor.
