DAY THREE- EVENING
CONNOR ✦ DOLORES
FISHING DOCK RATING LOW? IN PROGRESS |
Spending the entire day outside wasn’t unusual for Dolores back in the park, and even aware that it was a habit that’d been coded into her, it was one of the few that she still clung to. It had been one of the few things that had brought her peace back then, and it helped her feel more balanced after the stressful start of her morning. Even if the nature in Sweetwater turned out to be as manufactured as she was, and she had doubts anything in this world was natural as well, there was something to appreciate about the beauty in it. And Dolores badly wanted to see the beauty in this world, in herself, because sometimes that was the only thing stopping her from wanting to destroy it all. By evening she had found herself down at the fishing dock, skirt hiked up and shoes resting by her side, legs just barely long enough to dip her toes into the water as she traced patterns across the surface. It was getting late, and the activity around the compound had begun to die down as more of the residents turned in for the night, but she had told Connor she’d be waiting out for him, and so she had no intention of heading back in quite yet. |
