Summary: Vittoria breaks into Tobias' home for a client to steal an artifact
Status: Active
Vittoria had barely gotten away from the bank job earlier in the day but she finally made it back to the randevous point. Even though she tried to argue her way to get more money for the job, due to what happened, the client didn't bite and she risked losing everything. A small amount was better than nothing at all. Still, luckily for the girls another client had came through. Lorna got the job, Ari did her work in the research and Sasha did her work in the security breach. All that was left was Vittoria's turn in the work: get in, get the goods, get out.
Stalling the security to the upscale apartment went easier than Vittoria expected. So maybe Sasha can redeem herself in this job. Though one more slip up and Vittoria would have to have a serious chat with the girl. Maybe send her off on some vacation to pull her brain back together would be nice. Ha, as if they could afford it.
Right. Focus.
Vittoria entered through the front door and looked around. Upscale, that was for sure. She let out a slight laugh and began to look around for where it could be. If I was a snooty guy with an artifact I'd keep it locked up.Sadira offered. Yeah no shit Shirlock. Though where the locked up safe is the question. she shot back. Vittoria didn't need Sasha to get the safe info, she was great at cracking them on her own. A slight light caught her eye and she turned and looked at the rather large tank. Inside was an...eel?
"Huh...I wouldn't've pegged this guy for strange, exotic pets." she commented and shrugged. So if I was the guy I'd put it with the eel.Sadira laughed thinking of a joke Vittoria was clearly missing. The eel? You're serious? she shook her head at Sadira. Sure, why not? It'd be ironic. Check around the tank.
Vittora stood back and eyed the tank as if she was eyeing a painting in a museum. Not that the woman had ever been to a museum before to gaze at artwork more than to steal the artwork but still. It was then that she saw the faint shine of metal glinting underneath the glow of the eel's tank. She tilted her head at the sight, Huh...whaddaya know? she thought to Sadira and then sat down in front of it on the ground, cross-legged. Right. Watch and learn hon, I don't need sand for this.
She stared intently at the lock for a moment and even touched the cool metal surface before deciding how to respond. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytain and her side cut bangs were casually tucked behind her right ear, held in place by two bobby-pins put together in an X. Smiling to herself she pulled one of them out and used it to pick the lock. She didn't look at her hands but rather leaned her head against the metal to listen for the signs. When she heard the anticipated *click* her smile grew wider and she straightened back up to open the hiding place.
Tada! Well would you look at that. she thought to herself looking at the oh so lovely goods inside. Finally a decent sized amount of money for a job. They can finally put a down payment towards a decent place to live with the good money they'll get from this job.
