Stella wasn't sure how she felt about the transition from letters to direct contact. She obviously understood that the summer would come to an end, and the person that she had been growing a relationship with would want to see her, but she hadn't quite digested it. She had forgotten that relationships take time, and she had so little to spare. Between entertaining Aaron, harassing her usual targets, ignoring her homework, and lurking for the latest scoop, Stella wasn't particularly free. The one thing which kept her on track, thankfully, was a nagging tug on her heart when she thought of his face and the letters they had shared. She liked him, and not just a little, either.
It had been particularly soggy for several days, even after the rain, but after a quick pop out the window, Stella discovered that a significant portion of the grounds was no longer covered in mud puddles. And believe it or not, it was actually fairly nice out. The wind wasn't too cool on her face as she looked around, and she was filled with the urge to go outside. Sitting back on her bed to put on her shoes, Stella noticed the picture on her bed side. Amadeus had sent it to her over the summer, and the familiar warm feeling in her belly started again. She supposed she ought to go get him.
The trek to Ravenclaw put her out a bit. She always thought that it would do her well to have people be able to read her mind. She said was on it, mostly, and situations like this wouldn't happen. Amadeus could come pick her up. Finally, she made it. Having already acquired the passwords for all of the houses, Stella slipped inside. She came so frequently that hardly anyone noticed her, and she made her way up to Amadeus's dorm, having very little concern for the fact that he might not be there. She knocked twice on the door, tempted to open it, but waited instead.
