Who: Bucky and John.
Where: Near the Leviathan casino.
What: John is pickpocketing.
When: Monday evening.
Rating: TBD.
Open: No.
Status: Ongoing.

John stood outside the casino, cigarette held between thin lips. He brought the lighter up, opening it to hear that satisfying clack sound before holding the flame to light the end of his cigarette. He inhaled as he closed the Zippo, pocketing it, and then plucked the cigarette from his lips, leaving a slight trail of smoke from the cigarette end to his mouth. He smiled, satisfied. He hadn't had a cigarette in an hour or so. After all, he had chosen to spend some time gambling in the casino. Not because he needed the coins but he needed to keep an eye on someone. He had picked out a mark and they had something he wanted. Something he was going to get. All he needed to do was wait for the man to walk outside and he knew that would happen any moment.

So he smoked. Casually. And he waited. Patiently.

When his mark made their appearance, opening up the doors and stumbling outside, John smiled to himself. The man he had picked out was fairly overweight, wearing a dark blue suit and black tie. His suit jacket was open and his white shirt, half tucked into his trousers, the rest hanging out. Heck, even his buttons seemed to be done up wrong. The man was a mess. John would have shown no interest in him but he was carrying something of an interest. Something he won in a poker game by sheer chance. John had watched him win it a few nights ago. In a bar not far from the casino. John knew the item he held would be safer in his own hands, or at least that's what the Liverpudlian told himself.

Straightening himself out, he turned to walk, bumping into the other man. Very much on purpose.
"Oh, sorry mate. Didn't see you there. You all right?" John asked him, helping the other man to his feet. He had already taken what he wanted the moment they bumped into each other. John smiled and smoothed out the mans jacket.
"There you go, you're all right. Nothing a bit of rest won't fix, yeah?" he said, placing the cigarette back between his lips.

"Done? Sure." Bucky nodded at the necklace. "Enjoy your new toy, John." He knew, without being told, that John was going to try his damnedest to use that thing. Or at least to make some use of it that wasn't purely decorative.

He lifted his metal hand, giving a lazy half-wave. "See you around." Because this was a small place, wasn't it. Small, and you began to recognize faces pretty quickly. Bucky was pretty sure he wouldn't forget John's, though.

John smirked, a knowing gleam in his eyes before he turned around to walk away. He was glad things hadn't escalated. Glad that Bucky wasn't going to play the goody two-shoes and try to stop him or take back what he had stolen.

John raised a hand and waved as he walked away. "I am sure you will, Squire, I am sure you will" he replied.
