Tad had to get out. His brain felt like it was about to blow open like a cracked dam. There was something about it all--the company, the pressure, Avery's oddly commanding tone--that he just needed to escape. So what if everyone thought him a buzzkill? He was done.
He was sure he remembered his way back to camp. he thought he heard footsteps, but he disregarded them for the moment. If it was Avery, he might just wheel around and... Not do anything, because physicality wasn't warranted. He just wanted to go back to the cabin... Though he started to feel bad for leaving Stella behind. Should he go back?
