RP: How was your day?
When: March 4, 2004
Who: Cass, Percy
Where: Cass' flat
Private/Public: Private
Rating: TBA
Summary: Cass and Percy talk at the end of the day
Cass came home rather late after a day that had started promising but then gone downhill from there. After putting two minor cases to rest, he'd been put to more work by Dawlish who seemed to be getting more and more irritated for every clue that proved useless in the investigation about Alicia and Oliver.
As if Alicia and Oliver weren't enough, a still unidentified body had arrived to the ministry sometime after lunch. The strong suggestions of it being Wickford of course ended up landing the case on his desk. Not that he could do much. While the man hadn't been dead for many days, his body was mutilated beyond any recognition. Even with the most hopeful prognosis it would be days before they knew for sure who it was and could alert the family. The only thing they knew for now was that the man had not been killed anywhere close to the place he'd been found. Which probably meant it was another dead end case, filled with nothing relevant and no substantial clues.
Flopping down on the sofa in his flat, he looked at the clock, wondering how long it would be before they let Percy go home for the day. Seeing how he wouldn't be able to see him late tomorrow night, he hoped it wouldn't be too late tonight. Either way there wasn't much he could do about it, and so he set out to continue his book while he waited, trying to push everything else out of his mind for now. He could worry about all of them tomorrow instead.
