Mama and Papa had been fighting again.

Tigerlily had lost track of what this one was about. Something something teaching something something revenge something something. She was pretty sure her name had come up once or twice in the fight but she wasn't sure that it was entirely about her. Honestly, Mama and Papa fought all the time and Tigerlily had long stopped getting concerned about it. It was just how they talked to each other.

Now if they drew swords on each other, that was when you got worried. But usually that only happened with a few very tense subjects, and they both knew not to bring them up in front of her. Not that Tigerlily didn't spy, but... today didn't seem like it was going to be one of those days, so she'd gotten bored fairly quickly.

She'd slipped off the ship when no one was paying attention to her. It was sloppy on behalf of the crew, but how else were they going to learn if she didn't teach them? She simply believed that she was on the shores of the island rather than on the deck of the Jolly Roger and poof, it just sort of happened. The island had a magical current of energy that ran through it, and though Tigerlily tried to teach the others how to make use of it, they never seemed able to make it work for them the way she could. It made Mama and Papa nervous - one of the few things they could agree on, actually - but Tigerlily couldn't help herself sometimes. It begged to be used, called to her like a mermaid's song. She tried to be careful, she did, but today was not one of the days when she'd been successful.

She loved Neverland, sometimes. There was a beauty within the danger that was exclusive to this place. Papa told stories of other worlds, worlds that had beauty that she could only imagine, but form his descriptions she didn't think anything could rival this island. But during the day, when the sun was shining and clearly outlining the traps of the Lost Boys, and the plants and wildlife you wanted to avoid... Tigerlily felt more at peace here than anything.

She was wandering along, taking the time to smell the (nonpoisonous) flowers, and generally trying to enjoy herself. But maybe she wasn't paying as close attention to her surroundings as she should have been...

Tigerlily snorted at Tinkerbell's response to her question. She didn't believe the response to be genuine - as she'd just said, she would need to have been poisoned first, and so far she hadn't given Tinkerbell the opportunity to poison her - and a moment later it was revealed it hadn't been. Tigerlily dispelled all the rumours she'd heard as myths created by the Lost Boys to frighten each other, and decided this "Green Witch" was not a threat at all. Certainly not for the likes of her.

"The Boys are boring," Tigerlily said dismissively at the idea that she could have fun pestering the boys. "There's only so many times you can make them chase their own tails before you wonder why you're even bothering." Well, Baelfire was all right. But Papa didn't like her playing with him much. Tigerlily didn't know why.

"If you're not a witch, who are you then?" she asked, following the point of Tinkerbell's finger up the tree to the large treehouse. Tigerlily had sort of forgotten that she had initially not planned on travelling with Tinkerbell, and now seemed inclined to follow her up to the treehouse. Perhaps not inside it - Tigerlily might dangle from the branches outside of her window - but her intent was to hover nearby enough in order to continue the line of conversation. There was something about this woman that was intriguing to her. Unless she was outright shunned - which had happened in the past - Tigerlily was just going to follow along. And possibly keep pestering the woman with questions.

Not only were they boring as the girl put it, but they were all psychopathic little loonies who wanted to follow in their king's footsteps obviously. It was reasons like this that Tinkerbell chose to study the native plants for potions to use against them and befriend the larger animals for security.

"Why do you want to know so badly?" Tinkerbell asked, she figured since the child thought the lost boys were boring that she was hard up for entertainment. She probably was if she'd talk to a stranger with no qualms about getting her throat slit. Tink shook her head and climbed the ladder into her home. "If I was somebody kid, I definitely wouldn't be in Neverland now would I?" She started emptying out her bag and putting her things away; little potion bottles, wooden figurines, blueprints and all manner of other things. She took the snake out and started to cut it up ready to eat for dinner.

"Peter said to me once that I was one of the lost, that I belong here. That's pretty accurate." She looked out the window at the girl. "So are you staying for dinner or what?"

Though Tinkerbell thought of the Lost Boys as psychopathic little loonies, Tigerlily really only thought of them as boring. She had no way of judging "normal" given her upbringing. To her, the strange things of Neverland were just... the way things were. She'd never known any different.

When Tinkerbell questioned Tigerlily's curiosity, she shrugged. Her eyes were wandering around the home the woman had made for herself, peeking in curiosity at the dried out plants sitting around and the half created elixirs that might have been in progress. She was possibly reaching out with the intention to touch some of them, as well. She was beginning to once again question the accuracy of some of the Lost Boys statements, but it was a bit late now to be putting up her guard and becoming fearful. Besides, she really didn't believe herself to be in any danger - the woman had saved her from a snake, after all. Besides, Tigerlily had her magic - in the end, she was confident that she could take care of herself.

The truth was, the reason Tigerlily wanted to know was purely curiosity, but she was a bit embarrassed to admit that. She needed a stronger answer to come out with, a braver one, one that made more sense. Puffing up her chest, she looked Tinkerbell in the eye and said, "I'm going to be the ruler of Neverland someday, after Pan. I need to know about its inhabitants."

She decided to ignore the question about dinner. While she might stay, she probably wouldn't eat. With all the strange plants and brews around, that could lead to danger. Safer to eat at home.
