So I'm not good at writing fic or making graphics or anything, but I wanted to find a something for Em's birthday that I knew that she would enjoy.
SO BACKSTORY. Em and I chat on the phone a lot, usually only when she is going to the store and coming back from work or anything, and usually for 10 minute intervals. A lot of this time involves me trying to recall whatever shopping list she had in mind. ( But without FAIL, it seems like she always gets the same thing... )

So, birthday girl, I figured since we seem to have a weird congruence of musical taste going on, I'd send you something that rocks my boat but I'm pretty sure you won't have encountered (since they're a small Aussie outfit - got some airtime here but I think any international listening is due to me sending CDs to friends...)
This is Orisha. Orisha is dark electronica, complex beats with ethereal vocals, more pared down to purity of emotion than stripped back sound.
This download contains the entirety of their self-titled first album and the track "Down" - one of their absolute best, imho - off their first EP.
