A suit? Merlin, Susan was already a little embarrassed. Not that she was very ashamed of her, just that . . . well, she didn't . . . Well, it sounded worse than it really was. She just didn't want Hannah to make them look like fools. Even if she didn't know Pansy well, or really, at all for that matter, she knew they would more than likely just make fun of the both of them rather than appreciate the statement. Not only that, but Hannah wanted to drive? How would she even get a car?
She hardly had time to consider that and realize that her life may very well end on Saturday when Hannah was asking the one question she was hoping she wouldn't ask. She instantly closed her mouth and tried to remain as calm and casual as she could.
"Yes," she said quickly, relieved that Hannah at least had suggested something. That saved her from having to think up an excuse quickly. "I found a green dress that I think is absolutely beautiful, but I'm not sure if I want to get it yet. I've been looking around." She felt terrible for lying, but it had to be done.
