Susan had plopped onto her bed at least ten minutes ago, and placed the book she had meant to read onto her stomach. She watched it rise and fall as she breathed and wondered why she had picked the book up in the first place. It was a book of charms and spells for quick healing, well worn from countless uses. She'd lay like that for about five more minutes, watching the book on her stomach. Finally, she set it on her bed and sat up. Hannah had to be out of the shower by now.
She stood and stretched, and before she left her bedroom, she checked her reflection in the mirror, pushed a piece of mousy brown hair out of her face, and continued on to Hannah's room.
Once there, she knocked on the door lightly, hoping her friend was decent. Hannah had never been a modest person, and consequently, Susan and probably many other girls in Hufflepuff had seen a bit more of Hannah than they wanted to over the years.
