Question! CAN I HAVE MY CHARACTER JUMP INTO THE HOLE? Answer! Sure! But uh… Did you really want them to incur death by taking a really big fall?
Question! WHAT’S IN THE HOLE? Answer! Dirt. No, seriously, it’s a big ass hole (can’t just drop a light down and see the bottom) and there’s nothing down there.
Question! What’s the cost of damage? Answer! Nothing too substantial unless you’d like your character to incur some. The city will need repairs, there will be scouting parties in the sewers trying to find traces of what’s gone on, etc. Emillion itself will probably incur a few thousand in repairs, and another few thousand in sales losses due to the transit streets being messed up..
Question! WHERE IS THE BIG HOLE? Answer! In a park in Nobles District.
Question! What can characters do? Answer! What do you guys wanna do with raised streets and a big hole? You could make a swimming pool….
Question! How big was the impact? Answer! As gone over in the narrative, the biggest impact was within the Nobles district, and the intensity of the earthquake lessened the further away from the main point of “impact” (so to say). Therefore, at the big hole? HUGE IMPACT! Two districts away? Some moderate tremors. The complete opposite side of Emillion from the Nobles district? Almost nothing to nothing at all felt.
Question! How do I know how close my character was to the main area of the earthquake? Answer! Please reference the Character Info Workbook. The Nobles is directly closest to the Commoners, and the Red Light. The next closest would be the Mages tower, and the commoners from there. After that, the third closest would be Theatre, then Tenement, then Bazaar, then Docks. With this info it’s easy to assume that anyone in the Red Light, Commoners, Cathedral, or near the Mages tower would feel the tremors pretty darn well. After that point, feel free to use your own discretion with knowledge that the further out you go, the less it will be felt.
