"I hope so, too," Quen agreed readily. It sounded fun, even if they would most likely be fighting little things like hares and maybe wolves.
She pushed her tea glass back and forth between her hands. "Actually," she said, "I have something I've been trying to do some research on, too. It's sort of related to this. At the docks, I wasn't much help." She swallowed; that was hard to admit. "It wasn't just because Blizzard was the only spell I knew, and it wasn't that effective against what we were fighting. I was also at a disadvantage because I didn't know where my allies were, or the enemies. I couldn't tell if anyone was hurt to heal them unless they called out to me." She paused again before adding, "I didn't know it would be like that. Even the last time, I didn't feel like that, you know? I had no idea what was going on."
She stopped playing with her glass and took a drink before continuing. "Anyway, it made me think of something Cormac said to me a few months ago. He said I should get Libra. I know it's white magic, and that's not your specialty. Even the white mages don't seem to know it. I guess it's not that useful to them, but I think it would be useful to me. Amy found a book for me. It's not in Braille, so I can't read it. I brought it if you want to see it."
