Ari/Drake/Nate - COMPLETE
For a few horrible, heart-stopping moments, she had gone under.
Water had filled her vision and her mouth, and she had choked on it, kicking uselessly against the force of the current, her sodden clothing, and the Faram-damned tarp, which had been meant to keep her instrument dry by now was just dragging her down. She had to fight not to take in air to scream - there would be no air, only water, and she didn't want to die.
Her vision was graying by the time she felt someone pull her in the direction she thought was down, and she couldn't even fight. But then they broke the surface, and she coughed and spluttered and grabbed on to Drake for dear life - Drake, it was Drake, saying something that would probably have been soothing, had she the capacity to understand the words. For now, she just held on, letting Drake and the current carry her wherever they pleased.
She could breathe. That was enough to focus on right this moment. Everything else would come later.
