On Sundays Ceres’ alarm was set a bit later than any other day. Instead of the bright and early 7am, it was rescheduled to 9am. It was a small luxury of sorts, but one she guiltily indulged in when given the chance. Really, while with the KingsGuard, and with the Rangers sleep was a commodity and one she was unlikely to pass up if given the change. Shifting her Ceres brushed up against another warm body contained within her bed. Her face scrunched up, eyes still closed, as the speed knight attempted to remember what might have happened the night before. Nothing seemed out of place in her memory, but there… Had to be a reason she was sharing a bed with, well… Anyone. Slowly, carefully, one eye began to creep open to figure out precisely what it was that apparently she had forgot. Eden had felt the shift in the bed, but didn’t move. Instead she made some sort of mewling sound of protest. She was comfortable and warm and the body was attempting to escape her. Her hold tightened on the would be retreating form. She needed that warmth. She knew the feel of fresh sheets against bare skin. She wasn’t wearing anything. And the smell was familiar as well. The soap that she’d given Ceres mixed with her natural scent was only reason for her to move closer to the other woman. Leg slipped around the other woman’s leg before she groggily opened her eye. A balled hand came to rub the sleep out of it as she smiled. “G’mor---” she started, but the word just stretched into a yawn. A heavy sigh was let out in frustration when she realized who was in bed with her at this point, and… Wait. Was Eden. Ceres’ jaw set firm, her lips pulling into a tight line as Dire shifted, and made random noises while wiggling around in bed. Words bubbled up, but then Eden was moving again, wishing her good morning and…. Wait. Was Eden. “Damn it, Dire.” Ceres’ bat squinted at Eden while line facing, because honor. “It’s too early for all of that,” the knight said, poking at the corner of Ceres’ mouth. It’s morning. “More smiles less frump,” she said scrunching her nose. She couldn’t remember how she ended up naked in Ceres’ bed, but there she was. Eden’s head hurt something fierce, though. She was definitely in some need of some water. Rolling off her partner, she tried to see if maybe there would be a glass next to the bed, but there was nothing. This meant she’d have to venture out into the wild for things. And by the wild she meant out of bed. “Get out.” The two words came off particularly shorter than normal as Ceres’ senses were starting to come back around too, and the feeling of her own body being encased in clothing - in fact she was fully clothed - next to Eden’s… Well… Birthday suit… Made everything make even less sense than before. A low displeased noise remained contained in her throat, and Ceres shifted, moving to push Eden off the bed. Eden felt the hands come to push her away and latched onto Ceres’ arm. “You’re always so rude! I just woke up!!” She flailed a little attempting to keep her place within the warm confines of the blanket on the soft narrow space. Ceres was always so grouchy in the morning. Or you know, in general. She really did need that water though. What the hell had she been up to the night before. “Do you remember how I got here?” “I don’t care.” Ceres half grumbled, and half groaned. “You know better than to be naked in my bed.” There was another push, but not enough to really shove Dire out of her bed altogether, she was saving those just in case she really needed them for later. These were mostly warning pushes… For now. Though, the other woman’s sudden question caused the speed knight’s frustration, and pushing to stop. “What do you mean you don’t remember how you got here?” There was an annoyed, and slightly angered edge to the words… Mostly because she was hoping Dire knew how the hell they’d gotten here in the first place…. “Just that. I don’t know how I ended up here like this,” Eden said in a whiny tone. She then let go of Ceres and sat up, now fully awake from all the jostling. Her legs were crossed in the lotus position before she reached down around on the floor to see if there was a shirt she could pull over herself. “I don’t remember anything after trying to pick up that one lady. The redhaired one with the freckles. She was super cute.” Eden loved freckles. They were the best thing, especially when they were sprinkled along the shoulders. Ceres could do nothing else but sigh as Dire’s recanting of the night before. “Tch.” A slight shake of her head was given, and she shifted, pushing up into a sitting position as well. At least this wasn’t the first time she’d seen the other woman naked at this point. “Guess you messed that up.” Came the curt reply as the speed knight tried to look about her room. Why the hell was her memory so fuzzy about the night before too? “Do you think she was a mystic?” Eden prompted curiously. “Maybe she confused us both.” That would mean the adventure to the hall had to have been an interesting one. While she didn’t believe that everyone was bad, she knew that sometimes magic was thrown around in such a careless fashion. “You’d think she’d just say no.” Maybe she had. Eden could get quite persistent. Ceres’ eyebrows knitted with the question posed to her. “How the hell am I supposed to know?” And what her was Eden even talking about? Honestly, all the people Dire got around to, how the fuck was anyone supposed to keep them straight? … Well… Maybe ‘straight’ wasn’t the best word for that, but whatever. Finally, with the other woman carrying on a bit more a low “Tch.” was let out, and Ceres grumbled something about their jobs before beginning to pull herself out of bed. There were more important things to get done today, and laying around talking about some recent conquest of the other woman’s sure as hell wasn’t at the top of Ceres’ to-do list by any means. Eden completely ignored the whole comment about having a job and duties and honor and the line-facing. Instead, she continued to try and unravel the mystery of the night that lead them to wake up in such a fashion. She was very intrigued by the whole affair, even as she tried to find her clothes littered so haphazardly around the room. “You know,” she said finding a sock under the bed, before poking her head up over the side. “One day your hormones are going to kick in and you’re going to be thankful to have me around.” |
