super lavitz, the hero of bahamut (gripes) wrote in emillion, |
Outings with Amarant had been far and few between since the attack on the city months ago, but Lavitz had been making the effort to take his dragon out over the weeks, knowing those wings needed stretching. His guilt over Amarant's injury had subsided since, though he'd made a promise to himself not to endanger his friend the way he had then, and intended to keep it.
From high up, most things seemed small, almost comically, but when he laid eyes on the behemoth, which seemed to dwarf the smaller shapes that most definitely were people, he knew it was time to dismount. Rather than taking Amarant too close, the dragoon drew him down a little ways down the road, hopping off and dismissing him. In the event they needed additional aid, Amarant would be able to swoop down, but with the others too close to that thing, it'd be tricky.
He swung his halberd in hand and drew up next to Eden, barely offering her a greeting. Councilman Priddy was among those closest to the beast, and so he shot off a Protect in his direction. If they weren't careful, the behemoth would plow through them like they were nothing. Those sharp horns meant business.
