"Mm, that they are," Chloë mused thoughtfully, "but they are inquisitive in their own way. They seek their answers in books." While Chloë could read, it wasn't the first thing she went to, but she knew people thought all the questions in the universe could be found in a book. Chloë didn't have the time or patience to try to figure out if those people were right. She learned best from experience, and her life gave her plenty of that as it was.
Chloë wasn't sure if she wanted to be on Seloria's radar or not. Really, she didn't want to be on anyone's, but recently she found she did make a small wave. She hoped Cian was an isolated incident. She extended her own hand, a little surprised by the introduction lacking all the refineries of a last name, and she simple said, "Chloë. And I come here to play with the children. They don't get many visitors who want to do that. Most are just hunting for a ward or someone to give them a hand around the house." She didn't connect sentimentality with adoption the way others had.
"But a pleasure nonetheless," Chloë said taking her own hand back, "I take it you're here to teach the children?" She had picked up on the fact that Seloria was a dance and apparently gave instruction to the young orphans.
