"Dililah's been there fer awhile, but not much longer." Wil was so close, he could practically smell the fresh air in the sky. The way it smelled when you were on the deck of your own ship. He was so delighted by the prospect that he felt like he floated right off the ground whenever he said it.
It was so close he was even afraid to talk about it a little bit. "Y'ready to set sail again when she got goin again?" Wil asked him, leading him down an extremely long flight of steps. "Got a whole list o'places that need findin'." Wil was looking up to the sky and spread his huge hands wide, like he was unfurling a map and the stars that could not be seen in the day were his guides. That was the core of Wil, always looking at something that only he could see. The rest of them got to go along for the ride.
"Would love t'have you there." He turned to Merri, the sky practically still reflected in his eyes. Wil had never treated Merri like he would break anything he touched. Although he was smart enough to usually turn Merri towards something he wanted broken.
