"I am sure what you do not know in magic, you make up for in your skill with the sword," Emily said, "And should you ever need some help, I can assist." It was just like her to just offer the help and many who knew Emily knew that she knew her own spells and knew them well. She practiced them so much that casting them was like breathing. She never moved onto another new spell until she was able to cast the spell with ease and without as much Effort. Her collection of spells might not be seen as diverse, but she was reliable and trusted to do her part as a white mage as she could.
On the subject of his new paramour, she was surprised to hear it was a man, but Emily only smiled sheepishly. Still, Merri spoke fondly of the man as he started his little story. A ship's captain, not just a ship but an airship! That was fascinating and interesting to Know. So Emily mentally jotted her own that little note about the airship and the name for safe keeping. Along with other little pieces he was divulging. She shook her head, "I am not familiar with him, no, but that only means you can tell me about him. I do love to hear how one lover describes another."
She smiled with her eyes turning into little half moons as she did and then she prompted, "Tell me what he is like and what drew you to him. Long stories can be the most romantic and I do love a good romance."
