As Quenten continued casting, Peony responded to Felicity's comments with a quiet, even tone. "She is quite strong, magickally. I am more concerned at the present time about her aim than her ability to swing her rod as physical weapon, though she may learn some of that, in time. I would not be the appropriate teacher for such a skill." She knew that the Sister was aware of her own extraordinarily weak physical prowess.
"As for Ridley," she added, casting a glance at the small blonde, "she is two years from her class exam, but her Cure is strong, and she has grown up around magick. There have been some... murmurs regarding scholars requiring more hands-on training. The white mage instructors volunteered her for today's... experiment, and I am glad to see she is doing well."
The wolves dispatched for the moment, she cast about to make certain there were no further enemies in sight. "Good work, indeed." The areas around the city were patrolled by the Rangers, especially areas near trade routes, as this was -- so Quenten's assertion that they were protecting travelers this afternoon was not far off the mark.
"Perhaps a pause, before we continue?" she offered, shifting the wide strap of the large bag slung over her shoulder. She was casting little, but she was becoming tired from carrying it, especially considering how very heavy it was. "As a former Ranger, I will leave it to you to find us a safe spot, Mister Manley. Is anyone hungry?"
