Zachary Quinto and Kristen Bell - More than one surprise
It was getting late, and Zach was getting tired, but JJ needed them to get this take in so they could take the sets down. He took a few deep breaths, then settled himself into the right mental place to do the scene.

He missed Jonathan, more than he could put into words. They'd known how things would be, but that didn't make it hurt any less. He missed everyone. Maybe it was not having Joe on set as much this time around, he really didn't know.

He gave Benedict a smile when things were finally done, and headed off. He might be able to call Jonathan or someone - Kristen came to mind too.

He was clearly seeing things when she appeared the moment he thought her name. Except she looked awfully solid for a hallucination.

"Kris?" he said, a little bewildered.

Zach held her tight, and after a moment, when he was balanced, he lifted her up, and grinned. He knew no one else - or very few people - got to do this with her.

"Okay," he was relaxed, mostly after those first moments of awkwardness were gone. "I got you," he said. "I missed you too," he kissed her cheek, softly. He lowered her, carefully. "Then we take my car, and I wouldn't mind at all. Plenty of room, and Noah likes you, as long as you don't steal his blankets. Still, give him a doggy treat and it's all forgiven if you do. I'm sure it'll work with you as well as it does with me." He nodded. "I'm not starved but it's more than time for dinner. Do you want to change first or just go and if we decide to go out later get changed them? I'm good with either," he smiled and took her hand, leading her toward the car.

Kristen and Zach had bonded very quickly on the set of Heroes and affection was just something that they were very open about. She'd mentioned to Zach about joining Elysian and about trying to convince Dax to join. Of course, that meant he also knew that her relationship with Dax was an open one, though they had yet to decide if it would stay that way once they were married.

"I'm more likely to steal your blankets," she teased, staying close to him as they walked. "But Noah obviously likes me better because I'm fantastic and awesome and I sneak him extra treats every time I see him." She was exaggerating a little, but mostly just to tease him. "Definitely change. I look cute, but I'm not 'going out with Zachary Quinto cute' right now." Plus, she also had her travel bag and she wanted to drop that off at least before they went out.

"So spill. How're things going with you?" she asked, nudging him with a grin. "And I mean romancey, sexy times things, not everyday boring things." Kristen grinned as they approached his car. She'd definitely missed Zach.

Though they'd bonded more on the set of Heroes, Zach and Kristen had known each other a long time - he'd been very enthused about her talking about how much she wanted to be on Heroes to begin with, but once they'd started actually working together, things had become much closer. Things hadn't seemed to change a lot when Dax came along, and of course Zach was with Jonathan, but they knew they would be apart so much that anything but a somewhat open relationship - but still committed - was simply not an option.

"Well yes, but Noah is very particular sometimes," Zach smiled. "He loves you, and you know that. Though I have the feeling the extra treats may have something to do with it." He knew she was teasing, they got like this. "I think you could get away with it, but you never know," he said. "Still, I need to find something to wear too."

"Besides seeing Jonathan whenever I can, honestly there's nothing else going on, and we're still ridiculously in the initial stages," Zach said. "The upside of long distance is that this phase lasts forever. I knew there had to be one."

Zach opened the door for her, after taking her bag and putting it in the trunk.

It had worked out pretty well all around. Zach was there for her if she had a bad day or for when she needed cheering up. He was there through all of the ups and downs of her relationship with Dax and she'd done the same for him. They were close and she wouldn't have traded that for the world.

"Changing it is. Maybe," she started, stretching out the word almost teasingly as she looked up at him with a smile, "a shower might be in order." Together, of course, and the look in her eye said as much. Kris didn't think he'd object.

She laughed when he said there was a plus side to long distance relationships. "There's always upsides to these sorts of relationships. You're an upside," she teased, slipping into the car with a wink as he shut the door for her.

"So how far away is your place?" she asked once he was in the driver's seat.

Zach liked to cheer Kristen up, and she had soothed as many of his bad days as he had hers. He'd leaned on her a lot, and he trusted her more than almost anyone in the world, outside of his blood family, and Jonathan, but that was different.

"I actually took a shower before we did the last scene," Zach said. "Because I thought we were done, but it turned out that they needed us a little longer. Which was okay." He smiled. "But you can use my shower. I know you love stretching out in it." He had a really big shower, and she was always teasing him about fitting enough people for an orgy in it. Not that he'd tried, but it was pretty good for two people and he guessed it might be good for more.

Zach laughed too. "Well, you might say that, but after all... we've never gone there," he opened the door for her. "You know, with the whole gay thing," he teased. Of course, if there was ever a girl who he'd thought of in that way, but he'd only ever wondered to this point, for a million reasons.

"Not too far," he said, starting the car. "Same place, but I swear this city changes roads daily."
