Simon Halls and Matt Bomer - Pleasant Surprises
Simon stretched out as the door to their New York apartment closed behind him. He had no idea of Matt's precise schedule today, but he had had the chance to fly in, and he had taken it, because it wasn't like they had enough time together that he could afford to overthink heading to New York for a couple of days.

This wasn't the first time he'd surprised Matt, in fact with his slightly more flexible schedule he was often the one taking the coast to coast flight on the spur of the moment and being there when his partner walked in. Not that he counted whether the visits were scheduled or not, all that mattered to Simon was time with Matt, and he took it where he could find it.

His muscles ached after the flight, and he put his bag in the bedroom, hanging up the two suits he'd brought with him, and checked his messages. There was nothing that couldn't wait a few minutes, so he took the chance to take a shower, hoping the hot water would ease the ache. The water felt amazing and he groaned as it hit the ache, easing it out of him. He didn't linger, not having any reason to, and once he felt more relaxed, Simon dried off and headed back to the bedroom, pulling on comfortable sweats, something most of his casual acquaintances would never expect him to wear, and picking up his phone, checking for any messages. He and Matt would call the kids later, it was only early afternoon and they'd still be in school.

Simon did all he had to do on the phone and lay down. It was all too rare for him to lay down in the middle of the day, and he felt his eyes drifting closed. He was sure he'd wake - if he slept - before Matt came back, or Matt would wake him.

There would be time. Simone would've called if time had been more precious. He hadn't been there all that long, either, if counted in minutes, but pointing that out wasn't what he wnated to do. He nodded in reply to Matt's words. "That's good to know." He had known they would be parted, but it seemed things would work out better thna he'd hoped.

Sighing softly, Simon had to think, because Matt's hands could undo him completely. "Not all that many. I can't see why any should go past the time you'll be at work," he left the idea that things could come up for either of them unspoken, they both knew that well enough to compensate for that in their thought processes, it didn't need verbalising.

There were also far too many other things that did need saying. "I want to go out, though. Maybe not tonight, but tomorrow if we don't tonight," he smiled. "As in get dressed up and go out, not go down to the Chinese place on the corner, tease each other under the table and come back here before dessert. Not that we can't do the teasing part, but I want to take some time."

Matt was just eager to have Simon with him again, to get his fill of his partner before their schedules took them apart again. And they would have time for that - Matt would make sure of it if nothing else, but it seemed like their schedules were going to work out just fine.

Fingers sliding lower while Matt listened to Simon, let him tell him about his schedule and then that he wanted to go out. Matt lifted an eyebrow interested when apparently their usual going out fodder wasn't going to be living up to Simon's standards this time. His fingertips found a band of bare skin at Simon's hip, stroking over it gently, before he pressed higher, pushing up his shirt to get his palm flat against Simon's skin. "I thought you liked having dessert at home."

"Did you have anywhere in particular in mind?" Matt asked, managing not to be too distracted by the feeling of warmth beneath his hand as he pushed Simon's shirt up and out of his way, and at the same time kissed Simon's neck. It had been too long since he'd gotten to have time with his partner like this, and he'd missed it.

Simon would take all the time they would have together. There were times he wished there was more, that they could go back to how it had been a couple of years ago, but they'd accepted that for a little while at least, things would be less hands on. If nothing else, though, it made the times they were together much sweeter.

Simon's hands weren't idle, either, moving over Matt's skin, which was unimpeded by fabric, and he was touching the places he knew were sensitive. He smiled at the eyebrow raise. It wasn't that he didn't love the times they did that, but there was just a little more to this particular visit, enough that he wanted to go out. "Mmm," Simon moved, letting Matt get to his skin. "I love that, and you know it... but there are just... I want," he swallowed.

"Yes," he said, trying himself not to let the feelings overwhelm him. "Somewhere we'll need to wear suits. I've got a few places in mind, depending on where we can get reservations and I've already arranged for a car." Unspoken were the thoughts that hopefully there would be a very good reason for not driving, that they would start celebrating on the way home, or even not be able to keep their hands off each other. Of course, that was several hours off yet, and right now, Simon was remembering just how long it had been.

"I hadn't wanted to rush, but..." Simon murmured, his mouth finding Matt's ear, teeth tugging the lobe, "there's nothing I need more right now than to be out of these clothes."

There was nothing better than knowing that he could be the one to make Simon like this, with just light touches - easy and without pressure, Simon could have stopped him if he'd wanted. He chuckled softly, breath warm against Simon's throat while he tried to tell Matt what it was that he wanted while he was here.

"I suppose, I can manage to behave long enough for us to be seen in public together." He was curious though, especially considering Simon had all ready arranged for a car, but he could wait to find out just what it was Simon had in mind. Right now he was far more concerned with his lover in bed beside him and just how long it had been since he'd been able to touch him like this.

Breath hitching at the bite of teeth against his earlobe, and Simon's voice filling his head Matt could only smile. "I couldn't agree with you more." His touches which had been light and teasing before now began to take on purpose as he moved to help Simon out of the sweats he'd put on before getting into bed. "Missed you." Matt certainly couldn't help himself when there wasn't fabric between them, he had to touch and taste and press himself close to Simon when he was like this - it had been too long, and it never got easier even knowing they both needed to be where they were.

It was easy, but that didn't ever make things between them any less hot. Simon would have stopped if he'd wanted him to, but at a time like this, there really wasn't anything he wanted more than Matt in his arms. He ground against Matt, hips circling in that way he knew drove Matt crazy, and eased around slightly so he could hold Matt's wrists down for a moment, a promise to do it longer when they were naked.

"I'm glad you think you can manage it," Simon teased. He hadn't known, not even when he'd laid down, that he would definitely be doing this, but seeing Matt was all it had taken. He knew just what he wanted. "Tonight or tomorrow?" he asked. "I've arranged the car for both, and I only need to make a call... but we have plenty of time... we can do this, shower, call the kids and head out." He would never not leave them enough time for all that they needed.

Simon loved Matt's reactions, too, from the tone and the moving with purpose, raising his hips to help Matt. "Missed you too," it wasn't that they didn't know it, didn't feel it every second, but the words needed saying, at least once. Simon could just grind more like this and come, bringing Matt off as well, but he wanted more. He reached for the slick on the nightstand, they always had it within easy reach, and he wasn't disappointed. "Turn over for me," he said. There wasn't time for long prep and Simon wanted to face Matt, but he would have a few moments. He knew just how to keep Matt on the edge without pushing him over.

Simon always knew exactly what it was Matt needed, even at the start it was just one part of why they worked so well together and why they'd been together as long as they had been. Just the promise of Simon's hands at his wrists for a moment was enough to have Matt hard against Simon's hip.

"You'd be amazed the things I can do when I put my mind to it." Matt chuckled softly, nipping at Simon's lip gently all too eager to have him in their bed again. Though when Simon pressed, asked Matt what he thought they should do - tonight or tomorrow - well it was a bit more difficult to think past the next hour than it had been just a few minutes ago. "Ah - tonight, maybe - if you think we'll have time." Though if Simon said they'd have time Matt was sure he was right, Simon was always better at that than he'd ever been.

Matt wasn't exactly eager to turn away from Simon, not when he could be kissing him and holding him close - he could feel how easy it would be to stay just like this and press against one another until they were coming, but he could hear it in Simon's voice - that pull of want that had him rolling just like Simon said.

Matt was perfect, that was the only word for him in Simon's mind. Perfect for him at least, which was all that he needed. Matt's reactions were all he wanted them to be and more.

"You amaze me constantly," Simon answered. He figured they'd work it out as it needed to be but he secretly really wanted to do it tonight if time allowed. Still, if it didn't, they had time. "We'll figure it out... after I have you," he said.

He didn't like the idea of Matt turning away all that much either but it was inevitable, just for a few moments. Dripping lube on his fingers, he ran them together, making the cool gel warm, then sliding one into Matt, quickly followed by another, separating them inside him, stretching him carefully.

He could get Matt off like this, make him tremble and moan. If he didn't want to be inside him so much, Simon probably would.

"How much do you need? Remember you'll be sitting down some later," he said.

Matt grinned, hooking his hand around the back of Simon's neck and pulling him up for a kiss, it was one thing to put on a show for the cameras, for people who would never really know him, but Simon was different. Had been from the start. He'd seen more of Matt than anyone had before - the good and the bad, and was still there with him. "God yes." He couldn't think about whatever it was Simon had planned for tonight, not when there was no more clothing between them, when all he wanted to do was touch and be touched - after.

It would have been so easy to get off like this, to rock his hips and press back into Simon's fingers as the spread him open. And fuck if Simon wasn't doing it perfectly. Just fast enough that Matt could still feel the burn of being stretched for him but not enough to hurt.

They both knew this could be enough for Matt, but god he wanted Simon inside of him again - right where he belonged.

At the reminder that he would be sitting later, Matt couldn't help the whine that slipped free from his throat, just that thought alone was enough to have his hips jerk. "Want to feel you later, god Simon - fuck." He pressed his face into the crook of his elbow, more might have been better, might have meant that later he wouldn't feel this as much, but right now he couldn't help but love that thought. "Fuck me, need you... please."

"I know, but you do," Simon said. They'd just clicked so well from the beginning, he would never stop being grateful that he'd found Matt. That was part of the reason he was here. "Yes..." Simon nodded.

He loved the way Matt reacted to him, it was still as hot - if not hotter because he knew what Matt liked - as it had been back in the beginning. He was getting the rhythm just as Matt liked it.

The whine went right to Simon's cock and he jerked slightly, his body reacting. "Okay... I can understand that," and he knew it was enough that Matt wouldn't be too uncomfortable, he wouldn't have asked before that point.

"It's a mutual thing." Matt assured Simon, a give and take in their relationship as everything was. And that was exactly the way Matt liked it, they complimented one another in so many ways, ways that Matt had never really even thought about until Simon came along and found himself with a place to belong.

But waxing poetic about their relationship and how they'd come to be was far less important as Simon touched him, as long fingers worked their way inside him, opening him up for Simon.

And as much as he hated to lose the feeling of Simon inside of him, it was easier with Simon having him turn over, watching the way his lover prepared himself as well. "Please, Simon, need you." Matt spread his legs making a space for Simon between them, knowing what would come next. It didn't matter how many times they did this, Matt would never get used to that sharp curl of want that pooled in his stomach at the sound of Simon's voice and the feeling of being right there on the edge, right before Simon pushed into him. It was perfect and there was some small part of his mind that wanted to stay right here on this ledge, while the rest of him wanted desperately for Simon to finally, finally be inside of him.

For just a moment, Simon looked down at Matt, grateful for the millionth time that this man loved him, that they had made their life together.

"I know you do," Simon moved up, and smiled. He pushed Matt's hands down, holding them. His hold was light for now, but he knew it would hold Matt there better than the heaviest restraints.

Matt's second unvoiced wish was the one that came true as Simon pushed inside him. He moaned, and his hands pushed down harder too, trapping Matt's hands beside him. He took it slow, not to the point of teasing, but as slow as he could push in without teasing.

"So tight, so right around me," Simon smiled. "Perfect."
