WHO: Lucy Pevensie & OPEN! WHERE: A bench on the grounds outside. WHEN: Around 2pm, tea time, of course. WHAT: Lucy attempts to teach her kitten how to speak, hilarity will ensue. RATING/STATUS: tbd. | open to anyone.
Lucy gave the kitten sitting on the bench next to her a patronizing look, "If you don't want to learn to speak, all you have to say is no." Shaking a finger, she poured a small amount of cream into a saucer next to the kitten. The small kitten immediately went to lapping at the treat as Lucy shifted the flashcards in her hands and began to sort them once more. Each card held a letter of the alphabet, and a picture to go along with it. Once satisfied with the order, she placed them to the side momentarily to lift up her own tea cup and take a tentative sip, eying the kitten who was now dabbing it's paw into the saucer of cream and lapping at it.
"Honestly," Lucy sighed, and moved the saucer away from the kitten, "Aravista, if you're going to act like an animal, I'm going to have to treat you like one, and where I'm from that's not what we do. I would like you to be educated like the animals from Narnia, but you seem so reluctant." The kitten tilted it's head to the side and peered up at Lucy with an angelic look on it's face. Biting down on her bottom lip, Lucy placed her cup and saucer down once more, and reached for the kitten. Scooping it up on her arms, she cradled it and rubbed under it's chin, "If you keep looking at me like that, I won't be able to say no. I'm supposed to be cross with it," The kitten purred under Lucy's touch, and the young girl smiled, "Shall we try one more time?"
The kitten mewed and Lucy reached for a flashcard, which ironically had the letter C written on it and the word cat scrawled under it, and a drawing of a cat. Laughing at how coincidental that it, she held the card up for the kitten to see, "This is the letter C. Do you know what starts with a C?" Lucy paused, waiting for the kitten to show some sort of recognition or acknowledgement of what she was saying.
