Ron remained blissfully ignorant of the further comments to Hermione's journal after she'd given him permission to reenter the room, though he got sidetracked when an entry from Harry had appeared. So Lia had proved useful. He knew she would. But now Harry had seen that and maybe he'd stop being an arse about it.
He certainly hoped so at least.
Speaking of Lia, she'd sent Hermione books to read and he'd yet to tell her that. Maybe that would provide a welcome distraction for her. There were few things Hermione found as comforting as a book, and the other things? Well. They would mostly have to wait.
Entering the bedroom he paused in the doorway, taking in her presence for a moment. It was good, to be home. To have her there, alive and well. Well enough, at least. It was hard for him to be patient as she recovered, wanting so badly to take her in his arms and tell her that he loved her and wanted to make sure nothing else ever happened to her again. He didn't even care how sentimental he was feeling, because he was quite aware of what she meant to him. He didn't see the purpose in denying it.
But for now, he had to remain at a distance. Though not this far. Entering the room fully he asked, "How are you doing?"
