"You can offer him tea or whatever you wish, Astoria." Waving a hand of dismissal, Daphne didn't care. While she usually was good at playing the perfect little hostess, Theodore came unannounced and eavesdropped on her playing, why should she play happy hostess for him?
At the sound of Theodore's voice, however, she turned around and quickly stalked her way back to him. Clenching her jaw tightly, her hazel eyes were aflame with anger as her voice was a low hiss. "Let's get something straight, Theodore Nott," She was practically on top of him, but the proximity of them don't bother her as she could feel herself seething with anger, "I'm not playing for you, I'm not playing for her. I'm not playing for anyone, so don't ask again."
She was just about to apparate, had it not been for Astoria's pleas. Why did Astoria have to get that tone with her? On anyone else she would have hexed them for sounding pathetic, but this was her sister, and no matter how much she loathed the idea of spending more time than necessary after feeling so violated, she couldn't say no to a peace treaty from her.
Sighing heavily, Daphne pinched the bridge of her nose to try and control herself. "Fine..." She said, obviously deflated of the idea of leaving. Placing her violin case back on the top of the piano, she turned to face her sister, crossing her arms over her chest, "But if you only want me around to hang up decorations, I'm going to write mother and father and take them up on their offer to spend Christmas in France."
