Wes ([info]wassupwes) wrote in [info]ecorridor_rpg,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Wes - Open to Claire, Caiden and possibly Quin (though I doubt he's really gonna want to see it again XD)
What: Weswolfing it up - this time with added Wolfsbane.
When: Friday or saturday or something, I don't know I'm not keeping track of days atm >>
Where: The Shrieking Shack
Rating: Probably some strong language, who knows.

Wes didn't tell Claire he was going. He didn't offer to give her exact directions as to how to stop the willow, nor did he answer any of her questions about how things usually happened if he'd remembered to take his potion. He didn't want to talk about it, and he'd made it clear that he'd probably prefer if she wasn't there, but he wasn't going to stop her.

He arrived at the Shack and found it empty, dark and, secretly very disappointing, very dusty.
Caiden hadn't been here this time. He hadn't come to clean up like he usually did, and Wes wasn't sure if he ever would again. He'd made it clear that he despised Wes for what he had done, regardless of the reasons Wes had done it. He sighed and made his way over to the sofa to change out of his clothes. This was going to be a hard change, all alone. He rubbed his arms, expecting them to be covered in cuts by the time this was over.

Wes's hands moved over her back before he even realised he was embracing her. He leaned forwards and kissed her quickly, a mixture of annoyed and relieved.
"It was... it does matter," He glanced away at his messy pile of clothes, "It was just...building up to this, of course."

He couldn't help but be disheartened. He hated this. He hated it and there was no cure. No sort of 'be patient and eventually you'll get past this' thing. And Caiden wasn't here, and no matter how much he'd like to pretend he was ok with that, he wasn't. He missed his friend and it hurt that he'd lost that. He felt like, more than anything, Caiden understood what he went through when he changed.

"I'm just... You know it's not going to be me right? Don't think that, just cause I'm in control, that we can just sit around and be all cuddly and that it's just me.." He told her, his voice low, "I could kill you. I could slip, and lose control, and bite you. So don't risk it Claire... I'm a monster."

"Oh, so now you're going to tell me what to expect?" she asked, moving away from him slightly. After the last few days of having him avoiding any questions she'd asked she'd accepted that she was probably just going to have to wing it. It had annoyed her at first. She only wanted to know what to expected, be prepared, know if there were things she might do that would help or hinder... the library had helped a little bit, but she still felt unprepared, stomach somersaulting slowly in anticipation.

Forcing herself to bite her tongue she dropped her head and stepped away. "Those are your words, not mine," she murmured, glancing at him. She bent down and began picking up his clothes, folding them carefully; it made her feel useful and he'd need them again come morning. "Don't try and make me leave. Stop trying to get me to leave." Her voice had a harsh edge to it even though she tried to keep her voice neutral. "I don't know what illusions you think I might have about this, but now isn't the time to try and correct them. I don't want to hear it."

Quin had realized after the sun had gone down, and much later then he had wanted to, that it was the night of the full moon. He'd been dreading this night, not sure if Caiden would go back down to the shack or if he had anything to worry about. He understood that last month was a fluke, but that wasn't the point. Once something bad happened, it was bound to happen again. Thats the way the world worked.

So, Quin had made his way down to the Willow and sat a bit of way away from it's swinging braches. Wes and Claire had already gone into the shack as he was rather late considering. Finally, deciding that Caiden wasn't going to show up, that he had nothing to worry about on that front, he started back up to the school. It didn't take him long to change his mind and turn back towards the tree. After several throws of a rock, the last one finally hitting it's mark, Quin made his way under the tree and into the shack.

Quin made his way to the room where everything happened last time, not liking the memories he was having of this place. He stopped outside of the door long enough to listen to some of the conversation and realized that the change hadn't happened yet. He wasn't sure if he was thankful or not about that. He listened in on the conversation for a moment before walking into the room. "Don't try and convince him he's not a monster." Quin shook his head and took a quick survey of the room, his stomach dropping, though thankfully, Wes was still wearing a little something. He probably would have left on the spot otherwise. Why had he come in here? "He is. Even if he didn't ask for it." That was about as nice a compliment as Wes was about to get from him.

Wes turned towards Quin instantly, the unexpected words stinging him. He wasn't expecting to see Quin there. Not at all!
"Quin.." He said, almost as if he didn't trust his eyes, "You shouldn't..What're you doing here?"

He swallowed and glanced away from him, not sure if he could deal with it. At least all the marks had disappeared from where Caiden had gotten his revenge for what he'd done to Quin. Still, he didn't feel comfortable standing there in just his boxers in front of Quin. A little too vulnerable for another revenge shot he felt.
He opened his mouth to say something else when a wave of pain racked through his body, causing him to double over, gritting his teeth.
"Ge-get out. Both of you! Get out!" He growled, hesitance forgotten in his desperation to be alone whilst he changed.

Claire whirled as she heard Quin's voice, heard the words pass his lips and she immediately let the push of anger flood through her. He shouldn't be here, they didn't need or want him to be here and yet, here he was, standing in front of them shooting his mouth off about things that no longer concerned him.

Opening her mouth to tell him to leave she flinched suddenly at the noise coming from behind her. "Wes," she breathed, looking over her shoulder. He was bent in half, folded into himself and breathing harshly. The transformation was beginning.

Immediately fearful she scooped his clothes up and took a step back towards the door, towards Quin. She knew that he didn't like to be watched while he was transforming; that was one wish she'd respect. "I'll be out here... when it's over," she told him, starting as she heard a crackle come from his interior. Turning, she almost bumped into Quin, pushed him ahead of her and around the corner. There was no door to close; not after last time.

Honestly, Quin didn't really know what he was doing there. His mind had shut off when his feet turned around so close to the school and took him back to the tree. "I-I won't get in the way.." He sounded a little insecure, understandable, considering who he was in a room with. And Claire was glaring at him, which wasn't helping his thought process much either. While he realized that he was currently like a mouse in a snakes tank with these two, he couldn't convince himself to turn and leave again. He also couldn't convince himself to open his mouth and speak anymore.

Quin didn't go very far when he was pushed. Fascination getting the best of him. He let Claire push him away from the door just a little, but he stopped so that he could still look into the room and watch the transformation happen. Hearing the cracking and popping and watching him double over, it was like watching a car crash, he couldn't turn away.

Wes looked up, at the doorway, at Quin looking back at him, his eyes wide with pain and horror at being watched.
"DON'T LOOK AT ME!" He screamed as another wave of agony rocked through him. He collapsed onto all fours, skin itching as fir pressed forwards from every pore of his skin. It wasn't as violent as the change without the potion, more controlled, more as if he was becoming the wolf, and less as if it was tearing its way out of him. It still hurt though, and once again he lost the bet with himself that he wouldn't scream.
His bones stretched, joints snapping apart and rejoining else where. His spine shifted under his skin, his skull stretching outwards to form his muzzle.
It was an agonizing few minutes, that finally ended with Wes being no longer human. The power of the potion reigned back the way the werewolf expressed, making him appear more like a very large actual wolf, and less like a human-come-monster. He lay where he fell, panting and whimpering, eyes closed.

"Quin!" Claire yelled at the younger boy as he stayed where he was, watching Wes' transformation. "Oh, for--" She reached out and grabbed him by the wrist, tugging violently to get him out of the way; determined to allow Wes this one moment to break down without feeling like he was in a zoo. That was degrading; this instance didn't require the addition of fascinated onlookers. Not this time.

Slamming Quin against the wall of the hallway, Claire positioned herself in front of him. "What the fuck are you doing here?" she spat through gritted teeth. The incident between Wes and Caiden was still raw and bitter, chafing away in the corner of her brain. "Caiden's not here, if that's what you were checking. So go." She was a lot smaller than him, but her temper more than made up for it; though remaining angry while hearing the noises coming from down the hall was a struggle.

Giving him a final glare she stepped away, moving back towards the room where Wes was, the horror of the transformation having subsided into small irregular sounds of hurt. "Wes?" she called softly, stopping just short of the door. Hand on the door jamb she leaned against the wall, keeping her eyes on the floor at her feet. She didn't think she'd be able to look, even if she'd wanted to. Talking to Wes before he'd frozen up about this had told her enough to know that she should wait for an answer from him, wait until he was ready.

Even still being moved off to the side, Quin kept looking at what he could still see from where he was. Without the door to get in the way, watching became much easier. It wasn't that he wanted to watch, it was that he couldn't look away. His head refused to listen and turn away from the sight, though it was a grusome sight that he really didn't want to keep watching. The noises were more then enough.

Even the sound of Claire's voice couldn't get him to look away. Of course, he had no idea what really happened between Wes and Caiden, he only knew what he had been told. And that had been, more or less, a lie. Or, and exclusion of fact. "I know he's not." He quickly looked in her direction from the corner of his eye.

Finally, she walked away from him. And the transformation was over. Quin let out a sigh and then leaned back against the wall behind him. Like he had said earlier, he didn't want to get in the way, and he would avoid doing so if posible. He was perfectly okay sitting where he was against the wall and just watching for a little while. He just wanted to watch.
