STORYLINE
July 24th 2004;
"By the time Skynet became self-aware it had spread into millions of computer servers across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms; everywhere. It was software; in cyberspace. There was no system core; it could not be shutdown. The attack began at 6:18 PM, just as he said it would.
Judgment Day, the day the human race was nearly destroyed by the weapons they'd built to protect themselves."

GAME INFORMATION
Never Safe is a panfandom, InsaneJournal RPG set in the post-Judgment Day world of the Terminator series. It allows characters from all fandoms to interact with each other in an apocalyptic world.
The game begins with your character surrounded by a ring of fire. As it dies down, they are able to make out the pulsing blue lights around the room as the TDE powers down. A shiver, and they discover they are naked, though there are clothes nearby. Generic coveralls in all sizes imaginable.
There's a knock on the door, giving your character the warning they need. Time to get dressed and head out to see what's going on.
With mankind on the verge of extinction, are you willing to take up the fight?

It's one of those in-between places; a place that hides deep in the cracks, in the fissures between worlds and times, without ever really being a part of one or the other. You can't find it on purpose, but when you need it (even if you don't realise it at the time), you're bound to end up at its door sooner or later. It's a refuge, of sorts - if only for a time. It's a place for the young.
The Inbetween Place is a brand-new panfandom game with a unique spin. Set in an inn suspended between worlds, a place that - like Narnia - only the young can find, the game is made up entirely of characters aged eighteen and under. Players may choose characters who are children in canon, or bring in canonly older characters from a point in their childhood, allowing you to explore old favourites from a distinctly different angle.

Okay, so Rupert Grint is just adorable and I'm dying to have a storyline with a Rupert PB as the love interest for my girl kacie_thomas PB Britney Spears. I know it's a little(or very) odd of a pairing, but that's why I'm so intrigued by it. I think it could be sweet, awesome and fun!

You lay down for the night in your familiar bed, but when you wake up, something is different. Maybe it's the bright tropical sunlight coming through the window, or the rougher blanket covering you, that clues you in to the fact that you are no longer where you were the moment before. Whatever it is, you wake up, and your are now on The Isle. There is no going back. The note on the nightstand next to your bed tells you as much. It reads:
Dear X,
Welcome to The Isle. You are here because I have made it so. You are in Cabin X, room y. This is your new home. Please get along with your housemates. The ocean is a five minute walk east of the circle of cabins. Do not go in the water alone -- that's not very safe. To ease your transition, I have sent item x with you, for your comfort.

It doesn't mater if the game is still going, if you are not playing there anymore (it happens to all of us). This game is for both fandom and original characters. There are only a few rules regarding what fandoms/characters will be allowed. Please read the rules for more details. Granted, when your character comes into the game, the blanks will be filled in to the letter. They will just wake up in this new room. The only familiar object will be something you choose for them. Maybe Harry wants his broom, or Superman his cape. Whatever it is, your character gets to bring one item with them. Other than that, everything is unknown, even to those who have been on the Isle for longer. No one knows why they are there. Or who brought them there. |
