5 months since the last challenge was closed due to a lack of interest, I wanted to see if there was any interest in restarting this icontest! If you want to see this icontest go live again, feel free to drop a comment to this post!

Alternately, if nobody is interested in a weekly icontest, I wanted to pimp another asylum I'm moderating.

dailyicons has been reformed earlier this year to a daily icon challenge. You can sign up with an kind of claim (as narrow or as wide as you want - from anything goes to a specific character/pairing/celeb) for a varying amount of icons! You also have the option to sign up for up to 3 different claims at the same time!

You can also choose between different table sizes (each with a different time frame for completion):
10 icons in 1 month
25 icons in 3 months
50 icons in 6 months
100 icons in 1 year

To complete a table you can make icons for the daily prompts (each one open for 2 days) and submitting it to the prompt post. Due to the amount of time given to complete the sets, you are able to skip prompts that don't inspire you (or that just doesn't fit your claim) or if rl just doesn't allow you to make icons.

Since blue_siofra seems to be absent and I was asked to take over (until blue_siofra is back or we reach a different agreement).
UPDATE: I had let blue_siofra know about taking over and she got back to me to tell me that she has been without internet since August and that she doesn't know when she can turn it back on. So for now you have to deal with me :)

The last poll about which images to use and which spoilers to avoid has been a while ago(since season 4 was airing I think). So I wanted to ask again :)

1) Starting when do you want to see images from episodes?
-> A week after the episode aired in the UK? A week after it aired in the US (In this case: How long does it usually take to air in the US? Just so I know how long to wait)? After the season finished airing completely (starting with the earlier episodes)?

2) What kind of challenges do you want?
-> Character specific? Episode specific? Specific techniques (e.g. textures, cropping,...)? Other themes?
-> Feel free to make suggestions or comment with wishes for specific characters, episodes or other challenge ideas!

3) Since participation tends to be a bit low - how many of you are interested in entering the challenges? Would you be more interested with a different schedule or longer lasting challenges? Is there anything else that could tempt you?

4) Any other comments?

Comments will be screened, so don't worry about bringing up anything :)

Because I fail spectacularly at remembering it's Saturday on Saturday (I mean, look at how long the latest challenge has been running) I'll be moving Saturday to Wednesday since I'm on here doing thetardistimes anyways, and I can stick a mental note to do the challenge thing before I post the newsletter.

That being said, I'll finish this post so I can post the voting for challenge 74 & submissions for 75!

Alright peeps, my computer died and I'm not exactly sure when I'll be getting a new one. *waves from the local library, next to some girls giggling over their crush's status on facebook or something*

Which unfortunately means dwicontest is taking an unexpected hiatus. Hopefully, it won't be too long, but as far as I can tell, it'll be at least a month before I can get my hands on enough money for a new tower at least.

Okay, I've had some time to think about what I want to do here, and I've decided to bring forth some ideas I have for changes.

First will be the challenges. Right now, the schedule listed in the profile reads as:
Sunday - A new challenge is posted.
A mid-week reminder will be issued.
Saturday - The voting poll is posted.
Monday - The results are posted.

Does this still work with everyone? It fits nicely into my schedule at the moment.

The second thing about the challenges is about the specials/upcoming series 5. I've seen the specials, but I don't get BBC America so I don't know when I'll be able to start incorporating Eleven into here :(

Second, we have banners. Does anyone want to do banners? If not, I can make up some generic ones for everyone to use ;)

Thirdly, I've been feeling a bit under the weather so things are moving slowly here, but they are moving forward!

And lastly, any comments, suggestions and whatnot may go here. The comments are screened.
