HIDE AND MEESEEKS
What the hell are these boxes? Four of them are various shades of blue with an enormous blue bottom on top of them. The final one is red and black with a red button on top. This one has the KIRKLAND logo. You know, Kirkland, right? The Costco generic brand? (The bottom of the box has the name RICK scratched into them.)
What do they do? When the button is pressed β and it is a great big threatening button β a being pops out into the world. This being is an entirely blue humanoid, with an overly large head. He seemingly has no clothing on, and may or may not have a tuft or two of reddish orange hair on his head. He's friendly, but he has the most annoying voice in the world.
He seems nice enough, but it's almost like he's waiting for something. Like he's expecting something. From you.
Meeseeks are creatures that exist for a short period of time. You give them a task. Once they've completed the task, they disappear the way they came into the world. You'd think they wouldn't be okay with that, but for a Meeseeks existing isn't a great time. They need a purpose, they need to fulfill said purpose, and they want to stop existing. Anything over a few hours, things start to get weird.
The basic idea is to keep your requests simple, but it's not like you know that. If you ask him what he wants, he'll say that he wants to help you, and he will not go away until you've given him something to do. If your task is simple enough (or it somehow manages to complete your insanely difficult task), it will simply POOF! disappear back into the ether. If your task is too difficult, the Meeseeks is likely to go a little crazy. Murderous even.
They'll start by pressing the button for more Meeseeks to help them with their task. Eventually, if the task is still not complete, they'll turn on one another and then they'll turn on you and everyone in their path.
The box will churn out unlimited Mr. Meeseeks as long as you have it. You can have a million of these guys running around (probably NOT a good idea), but they can do your homework, go to work for you, open your stupid mayonnaise jar, make you a more complete woman, or more popular at school.
The red box, on the other hand, pops out a creature that looks similar enough to the blue Mr. Meeseeks, but he's kind of an asshole. His voice isn't annoying or chipper. His body is entirely red, he may or may not have the orange tuft of hair, and he smokes. He'll be way more annoying about you giving him a task. He'll constantly make comments under his breath about how stupid your task is or mock you. When he's done, he'll flip you off before disappearing.
FAQ
π¦ How do these creatures behave in more detail?
For ideas or how these creatures behave, watch this video. It's only 5 minutes long and shows you quite a lot of what they will do.π¦ Can I keep the box?
Once Rick gets wind of them around, he'll want to collect them. He doesn't trust any of you with his boxes. If you want to plot this out with me, we can work with it. You'll need 2 AC rewards to keep the box, since they'll be an NPC off and on.π¦ Where can we find them?
Anywhere except for inside Pickman.π¦ Can we have them murder someone for us?
Sure, but like... consequences, man. Hit me up for something that hardcore.π¦ What if I want to keep that Meeseeks around for longer than a day?
Do you really want to keep a creature who screams EXISTENCE IS PAIN after half a day of existing from NOT existing? That's kind of cruel. But we can work with it. He'll get more annoying and insane by the day.π¦ How do I sign up!
Wait for the comments below to sign up, then let's do this!
